  1. I originally setup iRC with a TASCAM US-144 (USB audio interface) and a Perception 420 mic. The mic is omnidirectional etc. and seemed to work well. The manufacturer finally got back to me and said the Perception 420 should NOT be used for room calibration. That said I am looking at the Behringer ECM 8000 that Sonic Studio has listed on their site. I am steering that way only because I have a Tascam US-144 audio interface already. It does support phantom mode etc. so I "think" I am good.. I see others have used the XTZ with success... has anyone used the Behringer that they could comment on? Does it makes sense what I am thinking.. of leveraging my existing audio interface..
  2. Oh absolutely... Anything that will help others. I just started following the Amarra threads and thank your for your commitment to the community... It's great you do what you do....
  3. I am not sure how you want it title etc on your thread, so here is what I was sent and confirmed the behavior I was seeing... My reply was yes this is the behavior I get... Hope it helps others in the interim. ------- Thanks for your note and sorry for the inconvenience. We have noted an issue that occurs when both EQ Bypass and Gain Bypass are both selected. This causes the IRC to disengage and the filter to have no effect. Our initial testing is showing that having either one selected or neither selected does not effect the iRC filters from functioning. Has this been your experience? Please let me know what you're finding. Our engineering team is looking into it as well. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Best regards, Ralph Ralph Schachter Sonic Studio soundBlade™ - Amarra®
  4. I corresponded with support on this and it is a known issue. iRC will NOT be active if you have bypass EQ AND bypass gain BOTH checked. If you uncheck either one so only one of then is checked iRC will engaged.. Thank you you for pointing me the right way... And it sounds like Amarra is looking to correct this..
  5. I just checked.. I don't think it is working on two of my minis.. I bought symphony after using the stand alone dirac live... Which worked flawless... I think it is the bundle with amarra that is having problems. I would bet if I loaded a dirac demo on the other mini it would work fine too... Anyone having problem. I can't tell any difference on or off... The stand alone definitely had a great SQ..
  6. I would be interested in stand alone.. as the stand alone worked fine for me.. so based on that I purchased Amarra symphony and I can't get it to work at all.. on the same boxes that the stand alone demo worked fine.. I think I made a mistake getting Symphony.. So I am asking that question to dirac.. I don't know if I can get my money back on Amarra.. I will try..
  7. I just loaded a new mini with Amarra Symphony and went through the same process I did on the prior mini I demoed the software on and it doesn't seem to make any difference at all... I even tried making a really weird filter that I should definitely hear the difference on.. What background process should be running? Any suggestions on what to check.. I have a email into Amarra... I did a complete uninstall and reinstall.. didn't make any difference?
