This will have a small worsening of signal to noise ratio and potentially a small increase in THD. If you don't actually need more finesse from you preamp volume then probably better off not doing it, but if you need the control any negative affects should be pretty minimal.

Hi, I'm fairly new to computer audio, and have been using Jriver for about 4 months. I'd like to make a view with selected albums in the same format as the default artist view (no particular genre or tag to select by, I want to just choose), and I'd like to make another view with all other albums. I'd normally expect to do something like this on a computer by dragging and dropping things into an empty view, but I don't think it works that way in this case. Could anyone tell me how to get the result I'm after?
