I've just unboxed an E-HP 02D headphone amp and DAC from epiphany acoustics to use with my Sennheiser HD650s. I bought it on the advice of various people to replace the default soundcard from my macbook pro laptop, expecting a noticeable chance in sound - but I honestly cannot tell the difference, even to a small extent. I'm pretty sure it's all configured correctly (not that there is much configuring to do - I've plugged it in and switched the sound output); does anyone have any experience with this device or can give me any advice on what I should be expecting from it? I'm in two minds to just send it back and plug my 650s right back into the default headphone out on my laptop but something tells me I must be missing something here. Surely replacing a $2 integrated soundcard with an award winning DAC and headphone amp should make at least some difference with good quality headphones? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

EDIT: I'd also like to add that the sound files I'm using are 320kbps and I've tried several different tracks side by side and can hear absolutely no difference whatsoever
