  1. The String Cheese Incident. July 1-2 Asheville NC. July 4th Atlanta. July 9th Merriweather Post Pavillion. July 10th Portsmouth Va. Summer fun!
  2. Peachtree was my entry into his crazy (and expensive) hobby. I started with the 220/NovaPre. Loved it and still do. I upgraded the DAC to a Vega since, but I still use the 220 everyday as my main amp. I have the NovaPre tucked away and I will be using it as a second system with the 220 when I decide on a new amp, so I'll have my original stereo in the bedroom. My only request would be something from Peachtree that would replace the 220. Something with more juice for my main system as the size of my room asks for it. There are a lot of options out there, but I think Peachtree brings tremendous value to the table and great sound, not to mention killer looks.
  3. I love Fink. Amazing music. I was turned on to them from a "Album of the evening" thread about a year ago and now I can't get enough (I think it was "Wheels Turn Beneath My Feet") I highly recommend "Sort of Revolution" Simply great music.
  4. So, they package was in my mailbox Monday when I got home from work. As hard as it was, I didn't have any time to try it out, but Tuesday is my day off, so I set it aside knowing I had all day to evaluate. To cut to the chase, the thing really works. Like others have said: clarity, separation and bass articulation stand out for me. My system simply sounds so much better and it's hard to believe there was such an improvement for 175 bucks. It's a killer deal. Tuesday was the best session I had to date. I'm on the Uptone Audio train. Keep it up guys, you're really on to something. Thanks.
  5. No surprises here. We're mostly old guys.
  6. Just ordered this morning. I'll be using a Vega I just got a couple weeks ago and it already sounds great. I'm really looking forward to it!
  7. There are albums from all of them on Tidal. Now have something new to listen to tonight. Thanks!
  8. They do for me. I've had two DAC's. A Peachtree NovaPre- Sounded really good and I was perfectly happy. Then I got the bug real bad and got the Auralic Vega. Absolutely no question there was a difference to me. Piano, vocals, percussion all sounded so much more lifelike with more detail. Even my wife said, "wow".
  9. Love the Vega and it's a great match. I've had it for two days and I can't wait to get home to listen to it! I couldn't happier with either purchase and the little support I needed from Mr. Wang was timely and effective (even with the time difference). Go for it. It's easy to use, sounds better than great and will hold it's value. Welcome to the digital side. You're off to a great start!
  10. Alex about to get REAL busy. This was fun to follow. Ok, I should just order the dang thing.
  11. My experience has been excellent. It took me 5 minutes to set up and the SQ is awesome. I did have that pop sound after a FW upgrade, but that was quickly resolved. Now that I threw the Vega into the mix a couple days ago, there's no turning back. Thank you Mr. Wang!
  12. I had the crackling issue after a firmware update too. Wrote support and Mr. Wang said it was a network issue. A couple of emails, and about a week later, he pushed an update that resolved the issue. It was a relief. The positive got from the experience is how much more I appreciate the Aries. It is, by far, a sonic improvement over any other source I have that I was forced to use while I waited for the fix. Customer support wasn't too shabby either.
  13. Haha!! I almost fell out of my chair.
  14. I think Jason's too busy listening to improved SQ to comment.
