X4 supports digital HT bypass (switch off/on keeps the desired volume level - not exactly like the original wish but good enough), It also feeds the main speaker signal through the digital out and at the same time via the xlr analog main out. Support for multiple subs (0.4) is coming and remote configuration management also. And like always it takes some time.

Maybe to add, that are 4 separately located subs supported anyhow in connectivity to x4? This might help to make bigger sweet spot for bass.

My X4 use case would be following - is this supported? - use predefined sound profile B in X4 - X4 in power up/ switch on to have profile B always as default profile (safe way ht-by pass) - have always a fixed volume level connected to that profile B ( ht-bypas mode) - use coaxial digital input for L + R as 24bit 192k or use the usb digi input as source b - have 2 active subs or 2 passive diy subs coneected into sub XLRs using the fixed volume level - have main L + R speakers connected via coax digi out using the fixed volume level - operate x4 sub dsp filtering / active cross over to subs and main L + R up to 270Hz - peq set up as where necessa for small fixes Someone having experiences of above use case with X4 ? This X4 set-up should be the 2ch stereo system connected and used as part of 7.2.2 HT - system .

I have tried the daphile that is very good and stable but no sacd iso support. Also I Like Jriver on Ubuntu Studio that is better than regular ubu. Studio is also hqp compatible\recommended solution . Audiphile linux is problematic because I could not run jriver on that. try and test the alternatives.

does the DEQX products have HT BYPASS ? Then to one of the original challenges as sacd as source I recommend using pc source and usb output + jriver sw as player in pc + ripped sacd iso + mutec usb to aes ebu converter and then digital feed into deqx - no mch sacd this way (- mch sacd with oppo - hdmi - av preamp hdmi input) I would like to ask if deqx hdp-4 has analog bypass if used as part of home theater AV system after the AV preamp for L + R. Otherwise the AV system volume level setting is very bad/clumsy for L+R. Workaround could be high quality AD converter forAV preamps L+R (optional mutec reclocker here) digital input to hdp4 processing xovers in hdp4H then digital out feed from hdp4 high quality multichannel DA converter 6x power amps per channel and volume control would happen in AV pream and HDP-4 is just digital domain processor without volume control, but the all in HDP digital domain workaround is expensive instead of HTBYPASS (see how done in wyred stp analog preamp) in HDP-4 and assuming the AD conversion is good in HDP-4. OR would the HDP-4 volume control still impact in case HDP digi in digi out ?

" Is there any reason that very standard option 96kHz is not included in the list or will it be later available in firmware update ?

I just tested Mutec MC-1.2 with Jriver Linux & Nuforce DAC (olf nuffie DAC HW supports only up to 96kHz) and system works in initial test. MC-1.2 Linux support is not confirmed to be available from Mutec factory, but USB signal from ubuntu 14.04. seems to go through MC-1.2 @96kHz and further with s/p-diff fiber to DAC :-)

Your linked MC 1.2 picture above in Settings for MC-1.2 USB 2.0 (...) hw selection is giving me the idea, that your environment in Audiophile LINUX is having the hw device selection and if that is working OK, it has exactly what I need :-) My earlier plan was to use behringger SRC 24 96´s (up-conversion) 24bit/96khz AES interface to dcx 2496 and replace that by using more modern (&expensive) Mutec 1.2 USB or MC3+USB for the AES/EBU with possible up-conversion and especially the great Mutec USB input interface for music player. The online up-conversion in player is also ok, but requires some hw power, that not necessary exist in my current HW player . Thanks a lot for the tips & ideas!

It would be good to know if the MC-3+ USB and/or Mutec 1.2 supports USB input from Linux source ? (Like daphile or Jriver Linux music players) Other topic is that if USB based source is 16/44khz, are there settings that MC3+ USB or Mutec 1.2 could upsample to 24/96khz (as AES EBU) ?

I finally configured the static IP that I can use mobile phone or pad as remote control. My trial error documentation also here, what I did. My router also told the MAC address of the Daphile server, which information was also asked by the router for static address. IP operator DNS server IP address you can read from your router diagnostics where the adress is told. Subnet mask is also the one that has been defined in your router. Search Domains: this domain name (from IP operator ) is also visible in the router diagnostics data. Hope this helps if someone want to take the fixed static IP into use for the daphile server remote control (phone or pad) that then uses this static address.

Continues: Fast delivery and very well packed. Package contains plenty of connection cables for different units, but the main powercord as such is missing. That is no problem because connection at unit input is universal and I have plenty of grounded main cables. My delivery was from the Europian warehouse in Germany. PS is convincing heavy and external build guality is good. Very solid package compared to old original small PS boxes. - No humming when close to ear - Does not warm up at all even when it has been several days on. All below measurements with a basic multimeter and without load. (http://www.mastech.com.cn/images/products/p-2/my60-1.jpg) Original shutle ds-47 PS: rated 19V and measured 18,73 - 18,92V HDplex 19,31-19,32 V Original DSPeaker Anti-Mode 2.0 dac PS: rated 12V and measured 12,18 - 12,19 V HDplex 12,39-12,40 I assume that hdplex has fine tuning output voltage adjustment trimmer inside, but haven't checked that. Wishlist: maybe the on/off switch at face plate front instead of rear

After few days listening tests Iḿ very happy with the new PS and according to my hear and feel the size of the music image is sharper and bass seems to be better. Long time listening also very relaxed. I have not done blind tests nor connected back old PS units to compare which is better. Quality improvement is noticeable even with the jazz groove net-radio. Dac is dspeaker antimode 2 with room mode resonance corection /some equalization in the fully digital domain chain. I would say that the new dual supply PS has good value and in this case PS upgrade to DAC was 115eur and for PC about 115 eur and so much worth buying with 229 eur. I will post some voltage measurement findings later.
