    I have used the ethernet cable supplied with the NAS to connect with the computer...the NAS does not seem to be recognized....any other thoughts? I very much appreciate your reply.TK

    I am wondering if it is possible to use Synology DS213 as an external drive to play my music library: I am using JRMC. I understand that playing music from an external source my have advantages in processing. I have no other internet access other than wireless...no router. Can I use an Ethernet connection between computer and NAS to achieve this? I am completely fresh to CA, so forgive if this question is rudimentary. Boyotk
