  1. I purchased the TDAI3400 with the BW2/MH2 speaker combo. I did not hear it with other speakers so I can't make a comparison with other amplifiers. I also didn't listen to the 2700 as the features of the 3400 made it an easy choice. It is a newer platform with provision for media playing so I could reduce the number of components in my system to a minimum. The extra power also comes in handy should I ever consider alternative speakers. All this said, the 3400 with the lyngdorf speakers combo is a really great piece kit. Very detailed and articulate and with great resolution. (with the negative aspect of making bad recordings sound bad. It doesn't mask any problems in the recording as other amplifiers do) Lower notes come though clean and with enough impact to make the music sound realistic, midrange could be a bit more natural, and I've heard better, at a much higher price though. Treble is detailed and dynamic and cymbals come through with a lot of air and realness. soundstage and imaging is also very good as the RP deals with it in the DSP! It has the added bonus of HDMI inputs and makes movie watching much better even without a 5.1 system. Wife is very happy with the ease of use. Overall not a cheap investment but I couldn't be happier.
  2. It does! The web based app has a file based search system which isn't that great. I am using bubble upnp on my android as a control point and is a bit better, but still nowhere near a good server based app such as audirvana or roon.
  3. I'm sorry but no, what mostly made the deal for me was the roomperfectsoftware and the very good sound coming from the speakers. Since these other amps you mention don't offer acoustic dsp I didn't even consider them. I heard a lot of sistems in a recent audio show some of them costing 10x as much and I preferred the lyngdorf.
  4. No luck finding the nas server. And now my jriver player is not finding the files either. I can access the nas via finder so the drive is working but somehow not working well. Twonky is supposed to be working according to the configuration page.
  5. Lyngdorf and and are connected via lan to a 8 port switch. I have a wireless mesh network across the house with 2 deco m5 wireless routers. The twonky server is indeed horrible to work with. But can find the nas using my mobile phone with wd mycloud app.
  6. My nas is a wd mycloud which has twonky server. I use it to stream movies to my samsung tv with dnal/upnp. On my bubbleapp I can see the lyngdorf straight away and send tidal to it. I believe I should be abble to find my nas with the bubbleupnp and send its contents to the player. I made a mistake and the lyngdorf does not see the nas indeed. What I would like is to have the nas send the files to the lyngdorf and control the playback with the tablet. The tdai does not have a user manual yet, I demoed it at the dealers which also didn't know everything about it. Quite strange indeed but
  7. I have been looking at the bubbleupnp app for my android device and can't seem to find a way to see my nas drive in it. On the lyngdorf I can see the files directly and browse using a simple folder search, but ideally I would use the bubble to control the files on the nas with a better and easier layout.
  8. Hello, I have bought a lyngdorf tdai3400 amplifier with dnla/upnp media server and USB input. When I went for a demo I used my tablet with bubble UPnp app to stream tidal and files located in a NAS drive directly to the amplifier which worked great, but left me thinking the following: 1. where is the file being processed and clocked? 2. Does the bubble app only send the file from tidal/nas to the amp and is clocking done inside the amp or does the app clock the file inside the tablet? 3. I read about microrendu and allo usbridge as high quality usb output streamers , would these make a better connection? Any technical improvement in going from : tablet+bubble app - > amp's internal upnp renderer ? allo usbdrige/microrendu -> amp's usb input with tablet as remote control? which mode should be chosen for configuring the usbridge? Where would I log in to tidal and NAS drive? Sorry if I mistake concepts, I'm trying to figure out the best clean path to send tidal to the amplifier. ps: the amp is is a roon endpoint but I would like to avoid that for the moment.
  9. Hello, I have a few questions: I have a lyndorf tdai 3400 amplifier with built in media server (UPNP and folder based file server) and also USB input. My music is stored in a NAS and I also have a tidal subscription. I would like to understand if I can login to tidal in the USBridge software and use a mobile phone o tablet as remote control. Or can I just use a allo parky/rpi and stream via LAN to the UPNP receiver in the amp? If using the UPNP server which device would be responsible for clocking the music? The sparky /RPI or the amp's internal clock? What remote control apps could I use? I'm not interested in roon at the moment.
  10. I sent an email to lyngdorf regarding tidal integration and they replied that it is only available via Roon. Direct tidal support won't happen. Quite a shame to have to spend another 500 to have tidal. An option would be to stream it via dnla and a tablet but it's not as elegant as direct support.
  11. Can you confirm it does bit perfect and not major problems or music dropouts?
  12. So I've been some reading, and can't really find a reason to go with a basic caps design instead of a bbb+mpd for my needs. Music will be coming from a NAS, ipad as controller, 2 channel audio only, mostly flac for now with dsd in the future. Is there any reason for building a more expensive caps to use jriver? Does jriver have any advantages over the mpd for simple music playback? I will do the file management from my desktop so I just really need something to feed the music to the dac. AFAIK the bbb does all the sample rates, bit perfect and whatnot right? My idea is to build a bbb, usb dac and linear PSU into one box and call it a media player!
