  1. Hi Kenneth, Please quote a LPSU OFC copper O-Type transformer at 5VDC/5A single output, shipping by regular airmail to postal code 04726-220. Inform weight and dimensions. Adolfo
  2. After a couple of days running-in my Regen, I'd like to post my views. I have a rather optimized system with a dedicated PC: ATX , CPU, USB card and SSD power by separate LPSUs, AO and RAM OS. Player is MQn. Using PPA USB cable, the hard connector into my Hugo DAC and the supplied SMPS, it would be superfluous to report about SQ, because what I hear from my speakers is glorious MUSIC. Awsome!
  3. Hi Superdad, I received my Regen today and have an issue to report. OS: Windows Server 2012 R2 DAC: Chord Hugo USB card: Silvertone PCIe model SST-EC03B-P (SilverStone Technology Co., Ltd.INTRODUCTION?EC03-P) The Regen is recognized when connected to a mobo USB but is not when connected to the USB card (the Device Manager shows an "Unknown device"). The DAC is correctly recognized when connected directly to the USB card. Please advise. Adolfo
  4. Chris, Here are some posts from Julf that show he never posted here in any constructive way: #99, #106, #112, #157, #359. I've been visiting CA for years, built CAPS2 and am building CAPS3, thank you Chris for that. I think that there was a misunderstanding concerning the word "professional". If you read the posts, you'll notice that jesuscheung is not a native English speaking guy (just as myself). He interpreted the word as someone that does some work and receives a payment for that, which is not applicable in this thread. I'm completely shocked by what happened here. It is just a case of the innocents paying for the sinners.
  5. I succeeded making MQn play again but now it plays only integrated with Foobar (wav, flac and mp3). Anyway, that's how I intend to use it, so no problems. It seems I have the same issue as newbie79 trying to play wav files double clicking the .bat file with an atom processor in WS2012.
  6. sbgk, I need your help. Yesterday I updated the mqncontrol to v2 and mqn is not running properly anymore. I have already tried to go back to the older version, have reinstalled WS2012 but can't make mqn play. The HW is OK because Foobar plays WASAPI normally. I checked that mqn.bat runs OK and in the Files.txt I have the name of the wav file. When mqn.bat calls mqncontrol, the command line disappears before the message about typing x is displayed. In the task manager, neither mqncontrol nor mqnplay are running. Any hint? Adolfo
  7. I have an Atom 2 cores. mqnplay is running in core 1 and everything else in core 0. I'm using the Task Manager to stop mqnplay. Yes, I'm allowed to press x, then I get the error message and the music doesn't stop.
  8. sbgk, You might be able to help me identify the missing service. When I start MQn, the following message appears in the window: "ERROR: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it". Then, music plays normally and the same message appears if I type "x" to stop. Thanks.
  9. I have installed AudioPhil's WS 2012 optimizations and recommend it to MQn users. It's not possible to run in Core mode because there is no WASAPI support but you can do it in the minimal server mode. I noticed the music gets more dynamic, bass more controlled and tuneful and more details (less noise). Since sbgk is pursuing a live sound, the optimizer would give a valuable contribution in this direction. So far, the only issue is that you can't stop a song with x because a required service is stopped by the optimizer. I will contact AudioPhil to identify the missing service.
  10. I had a Linn-Naim system in the 80s-90s, so the Linn didn't have the current sound. The trademark of this system was musical involvement. You just start listening to mid-bass-treble and after a few seconds, you have tears in your eyes. With CDs, I would seldom have this kind of emotion and so critical listening was more adequate. For me, an upgrade would mean being able to listen to more details. What MQn is doing for me is bringing back emotion in the listening experience, without having to concede in the music details.
  11. Tested 2.49 sse2 atom. Big step forward compared to 2.48. For the first time, I felt like listening to my old Linn LP12 - Naim system. Just listening to Free's Fire and Water album, Paul Kossoff's guitar never sounded so sweet, stunning bass and vocals. A private rock concert in my room. And all that with flac and Foobar interface. I have already bought the parts for my next PC audio player (S1200kpr mobo and Xeon e3-1265L V2) but now I wonder if this will actually be an improvement...
  12. Yes, you're right, it's redundant. OTOH, there's a cd <MQn path> missing right after @echo off, which is required to work with Foobar.
