  1. Just wanted to post a quick follow up, in case others use this thread to debug their probs. My skipping issue was specifically related to a WAV file with a long song name. Even if i added a album title, artist etc the song would still skip if the song name was too long. I didnt do a specific count but shortening work for all
  2. Holy Crap that was it. I didnt have the album name set and that fixed it. Dont know why i never thought to try that. Now ill i need to do is pull the trigger on irc and i wont have to worry about the EQ not working for me
  3. Yeah unfortunately a reboot does not fix it. It has been occurring for a while now(6 months) ive just now decided to post because i was hoping 2.6 would fix it and i noticed someone else mentioned it on page one.
  4. Only a few of them are 24bit wavs the other are 16 bit wavs like almost everything else in my library. I actually have pre load tracks off as gapless is not important to me. So if i close amarra and reopen and just pick a single one of the bad songs(with shuffle and repeat off) it always skips in amarra mode. I tried to see what is so special about these songs in relation to sample rate, size, etc and there really doesnt appear to be a pattern that is obvious. Thanks again for working with me
  5. No i actually don't think it has anything to do with shuffle. If i turn off shuttle and repeat i still cannot play these songs in Amarra mode. I dont think it is totally Amrarras faults(or their fault at all). THe songs play ok in Itune(without amarra) but if you look at the song progress time you can see itunes is not showing the progress correctly. It will play then the progress will just to 9 seconds then sit there and jump to 20 seconds(the audio is smooth though). SO i think this progress jump is confusing Amarra
  6. Yes i have random and repeat turned on. I want to leave that on because i just like to play my entire library randomly. It works great except for about 30 songs out of 1000ish. Its really not a huge issue because i can listen to the offending songs in playlist mode with no problem. I have played with cache on and cache off and the error still occurs. Its deff something relating to memory or cache though because a clean reboot i can play those songs fine for about 5 minutes then it goes bad until the next reboot
  7. Yeah i tried to set preload track to 4 and 3gb memory. Same issue. When it happening Amarra/Itunes is all out of whack. I cannot access the menu to close amarra. When i click pause in itunes it keeps playing. As soon as i change songs all is well.
  8. I spoke too soon. My skipping persists on the same songs as before. It occurs only small subset of songs and only in Amarra mode. Bummer
  9. Thanks for your quick response. Unless someone pops on and says "Hey i was able to fix the EQ by doing this" i will probably submit a ticket. Its making me debate updating to Symphony iRC anyway. I think its just a sneaky tactic by SS to get me to upgrade. Im joking of course. I too had issues with certain songs skipping at the beginning. SO far im not seeing that yet. Hopefully that is gone for good!
  10. Were you able to resolve you EQ problems? Im still not able to make changes to my EQ. Im using 2.6 Amarra not Symphony.
  11. Ignore that message. I re downloaded the install and it installed just fine. I am having the issue where the EQ forgets my changes after i change the song via itunes. Really annoying
  12. Thank you for the reply. I made the security change and no luck. It goes through all the installation steps and the progress bar is at about 50% and it says "Writing files" it then errors and says your installation has failed. Anyone else??
  13. Anyone have issues installing 2.6. Ive had no problem installling other versions. When i try to install 2.6 i get a generic "The Installation Failed"
