  1. OK, got it. This worked well! Except... that the iso appears to be corrupt. At least I can't get iso2dsd to convert it to dff.
  2. Unpacking the file now. It doesn't close out the ripper... how do get out of it? It just wants to rip the same disc again. Force shut down?
  3. OK, looks like I got things going, though I don't really know how. The screenshots at your site did not exactly correspond to what I was seeing. In any event, I'm ripping a disc now. Let's see how it goes. Thanks!
  4. So I used Rebug firmware and got the ripper to load. But now I can't get the Keys to load. Getting error. "An error occured udring the start operation (80010017)" I guess now I'm screwed, since I can't go back to 3.55. Will the ripper not work with Rebug? I was under the impression it would.
  5. I've been trying to follow Ted's guide, but since my PS3 already has 3.55 I need to do the safe mode install, which I can't because my controller isn't recognized in safe mode (seems to be a common problem). But someone recently suggested the OtherOS isn't necessary. If not, then how do I proceed, because following Ted's guide to install the keys doesn't work since the PS3 doesn't show those under "Games/Unknown." Any help would be appreciated.
  6. Yes! I forgot to post. I got an iFi iDefender 3.0. Works like a charm.
  7. I meant running a cable from the tab on the 3-to-2 prong plug and leading this cable somewhere, say, to the PC case. So, running a cable from the amp ground/chassis to the PC case would ensure some level of safety?
  8. How safe would this be, though? Wouldn't it send the same voltage over the USB, anyway, potentially damaging the DAC? How safe is it to run a separate ground from the cheater plug to some other grounded device?
  9. It is. But I've tried plugging the components into the wall directly, and on another breaker in the house. Same problem. I've got another power strip coming tomorrow, so maybe that will solve it, but I doubt it.
  10. I've had my amps for years and have never had this problem before. It's only this new PC.
  11. I am told the solution is absolutely NOT safe, so unless a new power strip fixes this I don't know what to do.
  12. I'll try a different power strip and report back. The other possibilities don't apply.
  13. Solved it! I put a 3- to 2-prong plug on the amp and left it ungrounded. Can someone explain why that worked?
  14. I don't see that deep sleep disabling is possible through BIOS. Any other ideas? I'm running out of options here, and getting pretty frustrated.
