  1. Thanks for not charging me! Amarra was expensive enough today. Considering BitPerfect didn't have a demo $10 wasn't a bad investment. I did have looping occur, but Support forwarded me fix that will be out soon at the AppStore. It really isn't that bad an app overall. Fidelia crashed a lot and then corrupted the database I spent days working on. This is when I realized I should just stick to my iTunes database. Decibel is ugly, but really is a decent player. Audirvana is OK, but there was something about it I just couldn't handle. I don't know what it was, but it was just meh for me. PureMusic was good, but a lot of features and an ugly UI. JRiver looked promising, but seemed too Windows-ish to me. Maybe I didn't give it a good chance and I'll check it later on. Each one has its good and bad and it comes down to personal taste because we all hear different. How I came about my decision, was choosing the one I kept coming back to over and over. Amarra just happened to be the one. Different stroke for different folks.
  2. I did test all the major players for the full trial length of each one and ended up with Amarra and BitPerfect. I do notice that people do use more than one and through my testing I do like more than one. I'm sure when it's all said and done I'll own most of them.
  3. First post, but read a lot on here. Thanks to all of you who provide awesome feedback. Every time I do a search for info about audio software this site comes up with the best info around. I recently got into higher rez music and have been reviewing and reading about players for about 4 weeks now, trying to educate myself. I've been a drummer for 35 years and always could hear what I wanted to hear out of music, but recently I decided to try this hobby out and I'm amazed the subtle sounds I missed. It's like finding Waldo in music. Anyway thanks. Hopefully someday I can provide my own feedback to help someone else.
