Serge_S replied to The Computer Audiophile's topic in General Forum
Don’t know if anyone posted this elsewhere already, but if one is really desperate to find a particular link before Chris fixes it, google the relevant part of URL from your dead link like so: 1. Dead one: https://www.computeraudiophile.com/f8-general-forum/locked-gain-pc-or-gain-info-metadata-29306/ 2. The following Google query will give you the old and the new links at the top of the search results: locked-gain-pc-or-gain-info-metadata site:www.computeraudiophile.com -
Will I Solve Clicks pops with USB Isolator?
Serge_S replied to deliad's topic in DAC - Digital to Analog Conversion
Check if you are running MOTU off of its internal clock. Could be clock mismatch. Are you using this in pro-audio setting or just for leisure listening? Serge -
Best way of doing this?

AV receiver that can accommodate 2 sets of speakers is probably the simplest solution. -

Yes, but I think Cebolla's suggestion is better. Cheaper too. -
good external WAV player? any such thing?
Serge_S replied to Lynn124's topic in DAC - Digital to Analog Conversion
There several pro audio ones(no affiliation): Solid State Sound - Installation Players If I were in the market, it'd be Denon DN-700C as it comes with remote control and better front panel interface than other players that only display track numbers. There's also basic pro-oriented web app. No album art though. On consumer side, any major manufacturer has DACs, CD players, and/or Network players that can do WAV off of USB stick. Just make sure it says that as there are many that don’t go above MP3. More expensive AV receivers can do WAV as well. Don’t expect album art in any of the above. For that you’d need a DAC/PC combo. Sounds like a job for an AV receiver. Links below should cover speaker switch and iphone control. No affiliation. Receivers FAQ Receivers buying guide -
Hi SoundSparks. That adapter IS a DAC. One thing to remember about Burl is you will have to set sampling rate manually with its dial. Serge

B2 Bomber DAC from burl audio
Serge_S replied to cowby's topic in DAC - Digital to Analog Conversion
Dante input on Burl is relatively recent addition, so you won’t find many who tried it even on pro forums. In pro settings it is likely indistinguishable from its other input as it would be slaved to external clock in either setup (not that it answers your question). All DACs with Dante should be listed here: https://www.audinate.com/products/dante-enabled and filter Category = I/O Interfaces. There’s a bunch of affordable ones with older(?) chip in them. I’d think Rednet AM2 is the best fit as it is intended for studio monitoring. Most of the other cheaper ones are made for sound reinforcement, corporate voice routing, etc. There’s a review of AM2 in CA's D16 thread. There's also this: Amphe-Dante – Entertainment@Amphenol even cheaper. No personal experience with any of them and no affiliation. There’s also this: http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f22-networking-networked-audio-and-streaming/lan-input-dacs-21722/ You may have more luck posting this in Network section. -
I found a post about NADAC that is very similar to mine above. I haven’t seen it before I posted, but this is still embarrassing. I wish I could remove mine. The other post was made by king2070lplaya on gearslutz more than a year ago.
