High Fly

I am listening through a headphone system only as I won't have a speaker system setup for a while. I have the original Surfing with the Alien CD and have compared it to the HDTracks download, which by the way is the new remaster by John Cuniberti for the 'Joe Satriani: The Complete Studio Recordings' boxset (This has been confirmed by John Cuniberti on another forum). To me, this new remaster sounds much better. According to what I've read, these John Cuniberti/Joe Satriani remasters have been done with the aim being quality. Compared to the original CD, on my headphone system, the 24/96 remaster has better bass, a more solid mid bass making it sound more powerful. Also the highs sound more extended, not harsh, just nice and clean. Very happy with this one and also the other 3 now on HDTracks and I intend to get the rest when they are released. HDTracks seem to be releasing 2 per week.
