I have a dvd-a sampler disc that includes Lucky Man. WOW! I always liked the song anyway, but the high res version is wonderful to my ears. Tre

I like stereo. I like it enough that this type of product really does not interest me. Now on the back porch or in the back yard I will listen to a boombox, but those are cheap and this, though infinitely better, is just not my cup of tea. I hope they sell a lot though as the company makes good products. Trey

New Led Zep remasters. Where's the Hi-Rez?
Drtrey3 replied to labjr's topic in Music Downloads & Streaming
The bonus material I enjoy the most are the backing tracks without the vocals. It is great to hear the music part of the songs and really spotlights the instrumental section. Trey -
jazzy, I really can't agree with you about high res by itself meaning very little. I do needle drops pretty often and on a well recorded album you can really hear the difference between 24/96 or even 24/48 and 16/44. On compressed or crappy recordings, it does not matter as much. But I have found, in my system, the 24 bits matters more than the higher sampling. Trey

Nice! I just watched The Point with the kids this weekend. Harry had such an approachable and easy sounding voice, and he was so playful with how he used it. Sounds like a great set. Trey -

how large is your high resolution library?
Drtrey3 replied to Andrew Allen Ballew's topic in Music Downloads & Streaming
I have about 350 gig. Most are vinyl rips at 24/48. You guys with over a terabyte are my inspiration Trey -
Nice to know! I have a vinyl re-release and it does not sound good at all, which is a shame given how much I enjoy the music. I think I will buy this, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Trey

John Lennon Imagine Blue Ray - anyone heard it?
Drtrey3 replied to firedog's topic in Music Downloads & Streaming
I have a British import of the vinyl and have never considered it a great sounding recording. I like the music well enough, but my vinyl is quite compressed. Trey -
Why PONO and high resolution are important.

Larry, I find that being a professional musician really does not raise the chance that they know or care about high quality playback. At least not here in Nashville. Trey -

What a nice invitation! Thank you, and I will endeavor to put one together! I appreciate you sit Chris, I hope you feel justifiable pride in what you have done. I will try to add to the quality in the next couple of weeks. A daunting task, but I feel obliged after such a kind invitation. Trey -
Thanks for your work on this! One of the things I enjoy about high res downloads is the absence of the slightly annoying vinyl artifacts like pops and tics and such. So I bet the HD Tracks download would work well for me, unless my home rip of the LP would be better. Trey
