New purchase, basic i5 but have put in 16Gb of ram. What next, have a variety of different music, flac and apple lossless, from 16bit 44kHz to 24bit 192kHz, have a DAC coming, was thinking of boot-camping it and using my copy of windows 7 and I have a win version of J River. What are the thoughts from experienced HTPC users?

I want to use JRiver and the best platform at the moment is Windows. Also want something compact in the lounge room, have Geek Pulse DAC coming to handle audio out into amp.

Was thinking of setting up a Mac Mini for my computer audio and was thinking of running Windows 7 with JRiver as I have both of them all ready. Any thoughts of the set up.

I have some FLAC music on external hard drive runing through my computer into my Marantz SR6007 receiver via HDMI out to some Jamo C605. I have not been using a DAC but this week I ordered the following Geek Pulse + Geek Out Pack, Instant $!M upgrade, Femto Clock upgrade, LightSpeed 2G upgrade 2m and fially Geek LPS this should help with the audio out of the computer. Was wondering where to go from here? Was thinking of going through the Mac Mini route bootcamped running Windows 7 and I all ready have JRiver to put on it.
