  1. Nice to know. Thank you. Just curious as to why you abandoned JRiver for Daphile?
  2. As long as that future doesn't include DSD...
  3. Hi, I recently purchased the Benchmark DAC2 HGC. I am using it with a PC running Windows 8.1 with JRiver 19. I have tried both ASIO and WASAPI. Both seem to run fine. So which is the preferred one to choose? I called Benchmark and they said I should choose WASAPI. However I have heard good things about ASIO. Any users here that can help? Thanks.
  4. I am glad if it does not work with Windows 7! Windows 7 has no business still being around! Horrible obsolete operating system that it is... Good riddance!
  5. For cameras fine, but no retro for computers thank you!
  6. If you use the computer name it will not work unless you have a DNS server in your network. So I suggest that you use the IP address of the computer you want to log into instead of the computer name. Try it, it should work.
  7. It is good but the resolution is fixed at 1024x768 so with Retina iPads it looks ugly. Also I don't know how to switch between different remote sessions. There is no documentation that I am aware of and it is not very intuitive to use figure out how to do things are than the basics. Since Windows 8 is touch enable it works very nicely - charms, start screen, etc. Since I stopped using crappy Windows 7 ages ago I can't say how it works with Windows 7 - not very good I would imagine! But then again you shouldn't be using an obsolete operating system anyway..
  8. I bet the cable companies will then start selling "audiophile" air fresheners to "improve" the sound quality!
  9. I guess you'll have not read this thread:- http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f11-software/sacd_extract-dsf-output-problem-18114/ Beware of using sacd_extract for ISO to DSF!
  10. With all the problems of using sacd_extract to get DSF files from ripped ISO SACDs, what other programs (if any) are there to successfully extract DSF files from an ISO? Thanks.
  11. Just out of curiously what exactly is the difference between DFF and DSF formats? I believe that DSF can hold artwork and tags whereas DFF like WAV cannot. Is this correct? Are there any other differences between the two?
  12. Thank you for the explanation. Crystal clear now!
  13. Synfreak, sorry I am confused. So are you saying that some of the ripped ISOs have clicks? So they are corrupt then. Can you please clarify? I have ripped some 300-400 SACDs into ISO format, so I am very concerned! I want them all to be bit perfect obviously...
  14. Does this bug affect only ISO to DSF conversion or also ISO ripping from SACDs? Thanks.
