  1. My friend loved the birthday present (Behringer UCA202), recorded a set that night! Thanks Audio_ELF for your response. Hope this thread can help anyone who stumbles on it looking for the same solution.
  2. Thank you for your input. I think I will order it.
  3. I know it is rude to bump ...but can no one advise me on this please?
  4. Hi everybody, great forum you guys have got here! My friends birthday is coming up next weekend and I wanted to get him an external sound card to use for recording mixes he plays using his vinyls. I was looking for some advice on what device I should get for this and obviously I want to keep it cheap (less than £40 or more preferably under £30)! A line in for optical would be useful as well as he has a minidisk deck that he has been using to record sets for years and converting them to digital would be a definite bonus. In terms of his hardware I can't be to specific but I think he used to use his decks (Technics), amp speakers etc to do drum n bass gigs semi-professionally. There is a lot of equipment in his flat... The only picture of the front facing stack I have is the below heavily "effected" one! Here is a screenshot from a video I took showing the main decks area! Anyway that is all the info I can think of to explain what I need and the set-up he has. Also, am I right in thinking Audacity would be appropriate for the recording part? The sort of thing I have looked at so far are the below. All advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
