When I click Play and the CD loads, my laptop (HP dv1410us) has a rushing sound like a jet-fighter plane taking off. And the buzz/vibration is intense enough to put your fingers to sleep if you kept them placed on the laptop's chassis long enough. Music plays without a hitch but the noise/vibration is very annoying.
For comparison, I played the same CD on dBpoweramp's CD Ripper and, voila, no noise/vibration. The CD drive purred like a kitten when the music was playing.
My friend has 3 media players on his laptop (WMP, Media Monkey, foobar2000). WMP runs quiet with no buzz during CD playback but playback with MM & foobar produce the same type of noise/vibration as I'm experiencing. What gives?
P.S. - Media Jukebox plays my digital files with no issues.
