  1. Hi Chris, thanks for the quick reply. ok, i just download and installed the Maiko WASAPI plugin for winamp. Set it up and configured, when a track is playing i can open the Maiko control panel in winamp and see what is going on. However, this doesn't seem to change anything, the information shows me that the input is at 16 / 41100 (see below), but it would seem something is up-scaling the output? Am i understanding that right? The ME is set to 24/192 in its settings. I thought the WASAPI plugin would bypass windows and the ME would drop to one light on (as output would match input, i.e. 16/44)? Input stream: 16 bit PCM encoding in 2.0 (Stereo) setup. 44100Hz rate MAIKO buffer/latency: 7560 samples (171429 µs) Output stream: 32 bit float PCM encoding in 2.0 (Stereo) setup. 192000Hz rate Client buffer: 65536 samples (341334 µs) Client latency: 5334 µs Mixer scheduling period (latency): 10000 µs Minimum device period (latency): 3000 µs Shared mode renderer Plugin latency reported to Winamp: 342 ms Peak output loudness detected: - db
  2. Hello all, I have a quick questions and wondered if anyone can help. I have the Meridian Explorer. I have a Sony laptop running windows 7. I installed the drivers and have set the sample to 24bit / 192000. It all works fine. however... the three lights on the explorer are always on. I guess i assumed they would change based on the sample rate of the track. All of my tracks are 44100 (example of detail from winamp below). i play tracks in Flac from winamp, and AAC from iTunes. It seemed in the video earlier in the thread you had to go into the system properties and change the explorers sample rate for different tracks? Can I therefore assume: 1) the lights just confirm the maxim sample rate a laptop is pushing out to the explorer (whats supported) 2) the lights do not tell me anything about the sample rate of the track Many thanks in advance Length: 264 seconds Channels: 2 Bits per sample: 16 Sample Rate: 44100 Hz File Size: 30518260 bytes Average bitrate: 922 kbps Compression Ratio: 65%
