  1. Made this housing for my DAC/AMP for my computer at work. I don't like all the boring boxes so made my own. First try at making a housing and i did rework the back plate (picture is old). Laminated Maple and Bass wood. Maybe the next one will be better. we will see. Wish I had the skills and ability to solder and knew more about electronics, I would have tried making my own circuit. Thought I would share with yall. The Dac/Amp is a SMSL 650. Thought I would share. Happy Holidays -chris
  2. Hello all, I have a Adcom GDA600 DAC that is fed by a Toslink wire from a Apple TV. I use wireless from a iMac from another room. The Adcom goes into a Sansui AU-717 and I have some JWlabs/focal speakers... so a mishmash system from many different decades. Now this probably is a dumb question. I assume the answer is a for sure YES but I find it hard to spend money on tests. Will a new DAC like the Bifrost make big improvements to the sound (like when I got the Sansui 12 years ago)? Are the technologies and components of the Bifrost Dac that much different to justify an upgrade? Thought I would ask the experts. I know to each his own and if you happy with the music thats the most important. thanks all, new to posting but have been reading for a while.
