  1. I'm planning on reposting this on a few other forums. There's quite a large headphone community in Singapore and off course there's always Head-fi. Last year I had a similar problem with my Senns HD650s and Sennheiser fixed the solder point in the cable without charge. Unbelievable how B&W squanders their reputation over something like this. You simply can't charge a 50%+ fee to repair a pair of headphones!
  2. My experience is exactly the same so I wonder what B&W is doing about this. My P5 is 2 years old and lost the sound on the right side. The local representatives in Singapore are absolutely not interested in after sales service. First they refused to even look at the headphone unless I paid them $320 (Singapore dollars). For a headphone that costs $420 new this is completely ridiculous. The next day the manager called me to "apologize" and offer to have a look. It would still cost me $160! I'm sure this is just a faulty solder point which would be fixed for free in Europe, where consumer laws are much stricter. My emails to B&W UK have so far gone unanswered and I'm not planning to spent $160 on a repair that should cost $50 tops. Is there anyone else with the same problem? It might be a manufacturing fault.
