I can not get my new Denon 1713 to play nice with my server (WHS 2011), and this forum was suggested to me by the good folks over at World Wide Stereo for some possible help.
I started with a 1613, but thinking the AVR was faulty, swapped it for a 1713.
I can navigate to either my Windows Home Server 2011, or my main Win7 box, but when I try and open the "music" folder, the receiver freezes and has to be reset.
I have updated the firmware, permissions are set correctly,turned off UPnP, tried assigning a static ip, port forwarding, resetting the network/chip, etc...
Denon support is at a loss as to what the problem is, and have basically given up on me.
I have the Denon hardwired to my Asus RT-N66U, and it works just fine for internet radio.
I have several media devices in the house and have worked just fine for years. Any ideas on what else I can try before I am forced to send the 1713 back?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
