  1. I downloaded it yesterday and listened to it. For me it sounds ok but not fantastic. Sounds a little veiled. Pat Metheny already made records which sounded better than this one! But I like the music.
  2. I just downloaded and listened to the Miroslav Vitous Group. I do not have comparisons. But this Album was now finally released on CD. It was one of my favourites many years ago. I had only the Vinyl version of it but did not listen several years to it. Sound quality seems to be excellent IMHO. I remember that in Vinyl it was worse. Excellent dynamics, transparency, instrument separation. I can recommend it!
  3. I was wondering why there are no new titles in HDTRACKS. Obviously it still does not work corretly (see previous posts). I tried to purchase one or two titles by searching and clicking on the search results. But I got an error that the adress is not available after clicking on the icon of the album. I think there are still working on it. And they will need some time to fix these issues. But fortunatley there are other alternatives, as HIRESAUDIO and the LINN downloads!
  4. I downloaded it yesterdeay from the B&W site and was listening to it yesterday evening. To me it sounds pretty good. I do not have any comparison to a CD or remaster version. But it sounds to me very analogue, dynamic. Some instruments still sound veiled but I think this was intended by M. Oldfield. Very clear instrúment separation. Excellent bass. I coudl not detect any distortion. Unfortunately I do not have the flac decoder to show You any test results.
  5. Hi, I have seen that in HIRESAUDIO GFTO was coming out last week in FLAC 96. In the description they said that it was digitally remastered. I bought from HDT the 192KHZ version and was a little disappointed. I own also the remastered CD and this sounds a little brighter which fits better to the music. Nevertheless the HDT version is good but not fabulous. Did anybody compare the HIRESAUDIO version with the remastered CD or the HDT 192 Khz version?
  6. I downloaded yesterday the HDT Brecker Brother in 24 Bit 96 Khz. I was pleasently surprized by the good sound quality! I had only some of their songs on CD-samplers. But I really liked the HDT version. Good dynamics and good instrument separation. This was really a good purchase. Please share Your experience with this download!
  7. I dowloaded it yesterday and I only hear a white noise with the saxophone on Celtic Swing. Maybe to create an airy atmosphere? But apart from the sax I do not hear any white noise.
  8. I downloaded it yesterday. And it sounded pretty good. Very transparent! Good dynamics! But I do not have the CD to compare it to. But nevertheless at the end this was one of the better HDT downloads I purchased.
  9. I have a CD version: "This Gold standard". A gold CD which was remastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound which sound extremely good, much better than the original one. Very good dynamics and depth. I do nt know the Audio Fedility CD but I doubt that the HDT version is better then these two Cd´s
  10. Any experience with the HDT version of Face Value of Phil Collins?
