I am a newcomer to this forum and I am attempting to set up a Pioneer N-50 and WD My Book Live Duo on a stereo system to stream Hi Res Files to my system.
My network is as follows:
D-Link 655 Wireless Router - acting as the DHCP server.
Planet 16 port Gigabit semi-managed switch
My Sonos Connect is hooked up directly to the switch and everything is working fine.
When I hook up the N-50 to this network, everything that I play from the network stutters - 16 bit or 24 bit files.
When I play from the USB input into my amplifier - Devialet 240 there is no problem.
To try and diagnose this, I tried the Yamaha CD-N500 streamer and it has the same problem, everytime, a song plays, it will play for maybe 15 secs and then start to stutter.
If somebody has already encountered this prolbem, I would appreciate if you can point me to the thread.
This seems to be a problem with the Pioneer and the Western Digital, and yet I cannot understand why this would be so, as the Sonos Connect seems to have no problems accessing the same 16 bit material from the same NAS.
