"For those who might be interested on my VEGA DAC and don't trust deals out of their country like this one...if you like i can give you whatever reference you need starting with my dealer from Atlanta who is selling me the DEVIALET. Just in case you need this reference, if you have some other idea to make this more secure for you, just let me know and we see how to go thru it." I am adding this legend because i see everybody in other circles are not feeling comfortable with foreign deals" Buyer pays PayPal Fees if any. Transfer from your bank to my bank, only a charge between 10-15 dollars that will be paid by me.
  4. I just paid my subscription, where do i go to sell an item? Thanks Miguel Sorry for my ignorance but can you explain me how to do it? Regards
  5. Sorry for the time delay to thank you all for your words, A dealer said in the beginning that the RED ONE would be the perfect match for the Auralic because of its ActiveUSB™, after a little while and having talked to the people from LH, they said that the SPLIT was the one for my DAC, but after consulting with the people from Auralic, this is what they told me: "You dont need a power supply from PC side. I don't think you can benefit from a split cable as we dont use the power from USB at all...", So i told that to the people from LH and they respond: "A split cable is designed to work with DACs that have an internal 5Vdc supply to provide the 5V supply needed to run the USB input of the DAC. Split cables are designed to remove the 5V supply coming from the computer and the chance of ground plane noise that come sometimes be transferred from computer to DAC. The 5V leg of the cable also needs to be connected to the computer at initial start up of communication between the DAC and Computer, so the Computer and DAC can "handshake" and the flow of data can start. Once the "Handshake" has been initiated the the 5V leg can be disconnected. By decoupling the ground between the two devices, there is the potential to significantly lower the noise floor in audio playback. The difference heard is always system dependent." So then i told this to the dealer and he says: "I agree with what they say and can go a bit a further to mention that some DACs also use the ground of the power leg as a reference for communication (where he’s talking about the “handshake”). The theory with having two paths is one for signal and one for power. There is an improvement in performance and accuracy when the two a separated as LH has done with their cables." So, If the Split if designed for a self powered DACs, why then they would have to shoot off the power leg after the handshake? i t is supposed to act with the the two ends connected, is not it?... I'm confused to where to go...
  6. Hello, I am a near future owner of the light speed USB cable, but i am in trouble here as i don't know which configuration would be the best for my system. I have an Auralic VEGA DAC and it is a self powered DAC, it is supposed to work with the split one as Srajan from 6 moons used in his VEGA DAC, but some others use the regular one with the VEGA with "great results". I don't want to spend 1,000 usd and then figure out that the one i got it is not the right one to achieve the best from my system... Does anyone of you have this experience? I can use some help please! Miguel

  9. Hello Joeinid, Thanks for feedback, Just wondering what kind of music do you listen to? I can not help wondering how does the JOB would perform with rock music in high levels? Any comments about this? Thanks again Regards Miguel QUOTE=joeinid;252321]Hi Miguel, I am not familiar with the Auralic Vega or it's sound characteristics. I do not consider the Job fatiguing at all. It has a dimensional and forward sound (I do not mean forward as aggressive but more like in the room from the speakers outward). Voices and instruments are very clear and natural with articulate bass. I lent the amp to a friend but when I get it back, I'd be happy to test your files. In fact, as soon as they come back in stock at Amazon, I plan on ordering another one. I am someone who prefers a preamp in my system as opposed to going direct from a source. If the Auralic has a full function preamp, I am sure it will appeal to me. All dacs and cd players I've tried direct do not sound as good to me without a preamp in the chain. That's just me.
  10. Hello Joe, I have been seen you all around regarding the JOB 225, great you are enjoying it so much above the super amps that you own already! I am very interested in this amp and have my concerns also...i read the six moons review and the thing that might got me more concern is the "very detail sound" that could show up even the bad or digital sounds of the recordings, i listen to a lot of rock, Rush, The Police, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam among others like Jazz, Ambient, 80´s Pop and it gives me the possible feeling that it could be fatiguing to listen, i am just about to purchase the Auralic Vega for DAC/Preamp functions, can you share your feelings on this? i love to share with you one or two music files, so you could try them just to know how they sound on the JOB 225, it would help me a lot to know. Ahh i forgot to tell: my speakers are 91db efficient and are the GoldenEar Triton Two Kind regards Miguel
  11. Hello Everyone, I am in the hunt of a new DAC with DSD capability, Auralic Vega and W$S DAC2 DSD SE are my choices, has anyone A/B these DACs? Hope anyone can share anything? Best Regards Miguel
  12. Greetings Ted_b, Can you please send the guide for SACD ripping? Best regards! Mike
  13. Thank you Richard and RFP for your kind feedbacks, i was hoping USB direct where the thing! why? ...I thought with this NEW SE model conversion would not be needed and would have worth the $2,500 for me, but with an external converter, i would have to spend more...how much is the Off Ramp? that directs me in the Auralic Vega's path for 3,500 without any need of conversion and having the results you guys and me are hoping for, if i was already a W4S DAC2 owner i guess it would be another story...we'll see! Best Miguel
  14. Hello Richard, I am new here and i am a "possible" potential future owner of the DAC2 DSDSE, and have been reading some of this thread. I want to share and also ask about the i2s conversion, when i chat with Clint and ask him about that, he said that if you dont have a native i2s source, conversion is not needed and the best way is a USB direct connection for best results. Have you guys found that the conversion is better than just USB direct? Best regards Miguel
