  1. Looking into your suggestion, I was able to get Dolby and DTS out using VLC player. I had been using the DVD player, but the VLC has more options. Thank you very much!
  2. I have two connections: 1. the digital out 2. a MOTU 828mkII, which is much better, allowing upsampling to 96k, although with DVD's I use 48k. They both do into digital inputs of the Meridian, which recognizes Dolby or DTS from DVD players. However, from the Mac I only get PCM. I haven't tried Win DVD. Does it run on the Mac?
  3. I have my Mac connected to a Meridian surround processor. I get excellent PCM audio reproduction. However, the surround tracks from DVD's reproduced from the Mac do not output to the Meridian. I only get the PCM, even when I chose the other tracks in the audio menu. Can anyone help me to reproduce the surround tracks?
