  1. I disagree with you, and agree at the same time. Installed in a dual core 2ghz 2 mb pc, Jplay 5.1 through Jriver 18 in my opinion sounds less rich and precise than Jplay mini. With an i7 quad core etc.etc. the difference become subtle and Jplay+Jriver perhaps sounds fuller. I'm not shure which I prefer. Computing power does really matter with Jplay: imho extreme mode sounds better with the dual core pc, ultra gains the first place with the powerful one. And this is not just a my opinion: I've done blind test before buy Jplay (previous version) with some friends and the difference with Foobar or Jriver, at my and and almost all their ears, was clear as light. Usually I use another 'blind test' to make comparison, with my wife that is a professional classical musician. When I want to check a new version or configuration or amplifier and so on I play a song already known while she is resting two rooms away. Well, testing Jplay first time she said: Wow! Are you playing an LP? Apologize for my poor english.
