  1. I think music will be delivered wireless. But not as downloads like itunes or amazon. More like streaming from some type of cloud setup. If that's the case, users will most likely have several different format/quality choices availiable to them.
  2. The best Naim dealer I have found is Wellington Audio in FL, 561-798-1059. He has the complete product line on display for audition. I would recommend an audition before you buy anything. I gave Naim serious consideration and in the end, I ended up not going with it because I didn't feel the SQ was worth the price. Also, I felt that the SQ on Naims entry level gear was not good at all. I ended up owning a Nait 5i for a while and was dissapointed. That said, I thought some of the more expensive products sound OK. Either way, with a budget of $6000, its foolish to buy anything without a good demo, weather it is Naim, or any other brand. If you don't have a dealer in your area, sometimes you have to take a trip. For me personally, I'd much rather spend a day or two in the car than make a $6000 mistake. Also, I think you mentioned that you are going by reviews. I would highly recommend not doing it that way.
  3. I'm interested to find out what Linux users are using for audio. Things like favorite distro, music player, desktop environment, audio output (alsa, phonon etc..) and anything else thats relevant. I don't see too much from Linux users on sites like this. Thanks in advance for any comments.
  4. It could be a few different things. Most likely is that you are mistaking folder view with library view. Library view is your tags/metadata and folder view is your actual file system. Your tags can be completely different from your file names. Another possible issue may for be that your software is looking up metadata when you select music and bypassing your tags. One last thing it could be is you are displaying different tags on different software. For example, you may have entered what you want for the field composor. On another piece of software, you may be looking at the artist field and not realize you need to look at composer instead. Other than that, just make sure you save any tagging you do and always remember to rescan your library for changes. You may also want to try a program called Quod Libet and tag with that. Its very powerful and easy to use.
