Yes, thanks, I'm sure it is. I'm however a detail freak and find the fiddle play a tad sloppy. For sure an excellent recording, maybe just not my all time favourite.

Luckily my DAC upsamples to 2x DSD, so no need to worry. Ordered the Drottningholm Baroque to check it out.

Thank you for the recommendation. I agree, based on a brief listen it appears a bit bland. Although, I think I prefer this piece played quite conservatively. Two other recordings of it featuring Itzhak Perlman and Felix Ayo respectively I do particularly enjoy. I would wish to have them in DSD, but just converting PCM into DSD does not add to the magic.

Hi, Has anyone come across Vivaldi's Four Seasons (any version) as a DSD download? Pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Kuoppis

Very happy to have found likeminded DSD fans. I have recently started to enjoy DSD quite a bit and am somewhat struggling to find more content. I do have a Meitner MA-1 and am thus able to enjoy native DSD as well and IMHO it just sounds great, prefer it to high res PCM in an A/B comparison. Some of the music mentioned I do own, the latest album by David Elias is quite nice as is Patricia Barber's latest (both available at Super Hirez). Some classics like Shelby Lynne/ Just A Little Lovin' (beats PCM versions hands down), Hugh Masakela's Hope and Antal Dorati/ Firebird I have enjoyed quite a lot. Some of the stuff mentioned like Vijay Iyer was new and I have to check it out. There is also a German site, highresdownloads, which has quite a bit of nice stuff as well. But I also da have a request: Has anyone come across any version of Vivaldi's Four Seasons in DSD somewhere? Pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Yes, I indeed had an auditioning with the Magico S1's, La Rosita Maverick and La Rosita Beta New. In a word, fantastic combination! Music out of complete blackness, the Magicos pretty much disappeared - there was just music. I would however not recommend to go audition them, because in my case out went the Hegel H300 amp and in exchange for the Rosita Maverick. Different planet altogether, especially together with the Acoustic Zen Silver Reference II interconnects and Audio Tekne power I also added. Next step is to exchange my beloved Dynaudio C1's for the Magico S1's. Darn expensive result for sitting around for an hour . /Kuoppis
