  1. It will be interesting to hear what Eric says. Based on emperical tests a Qobuz streamed track is downloaded in its entirety and retained somehow. Could just be the track that is streamed is kept in system memory and the SSD cache as Eric says is really just for local files, NAS, and USB.
  2. This is how it works on my N200. In a test I did I added an entire Qobuz album to the queue and started playback on a track that was 8:02 long. I let the track play for about a minute or so and then unplugged the network cable without pausing. The track continued to play with no network connection to the end of 8:02 and the second track did not play at all.
  3. I shipped my DAC 200 off to my dealer for the firmware update. To survive the week or so until I get it back I picked up a Monster DAC from Walmart for $23.56. I was actually surprised at how good it sounds for the money, but it definitely won't be replacing my DAC 200 long term!
  4. My dealer notified me that the official DAC 200 V1.20 firmware is now available. The main important firmware changes are: Home Theatre Bypass added INVert ON/OFF now additionally accessible via TONE menu Editable source names Automatically toggle between pre-out and phones modes Separate volume & balance settings for pre-out and phones Save settings for OVS, INV, FILTER separately for each input (can be enabled/disabled by an additional setup-menu item) Big display of VOLUME level when changing volume by remote control Output muted when switching output mode from variable to fixed to prevent high SPL on speakers (due to safety reasons the "fixed"/"variable" settings has been removed from from APP menu)
  5. I hope you go after the seller for the cost of the lid.
  6. First of all thanks to Chris for this recommendation. It is an excellent recording that I had not heard before. I have listened to both the Qobuz version and the HDTT DSD256 version and on my system and with my ears I definitely prefer the HDTT version. You are blessed to not be burdened with such nuances such as sample rates and just enjoy the music.
  7. I listed to it from Qobuz and thought the mix was horrible. At first I thought it was a mono recording, basically no sound stage. The music itself wasn't good enough to keep me listening.
  8. The display mode can be set to temporary or always on. If it is set to temporary the meters and lights only come on when you press a button on the unit or on the remote and they will only stay on for a couple of seconds. If you have no meters or lights ever, then you might have an issue.
  9. I would wait until you get the DAC 200 and hear it for yourself before you draw any conclusions as to PCM performance based on one guy's review. My DAC 200 sounds excellent with PCM files as well as DSD.
  10. Just a heads up that Conductor 4.8 is now available and so far for me has resolved issues I had with the app constantly having to reconnect. Seems quite stable now. Thanks Aurender!
  11. FYI - Support indicated that they found filtering bug in Conductor V4 and have reported it to engineering.
  12. Anyone else have an issue with some categories under "album" showing no results starting with the last couple Conductor V4 releases? What happens is that a category such as favorites or new releases will show no results while other categories such as best sellers will show full results. I use Qobuz and have verified from their web site that my favorites list exists. I have contacted support about this issue.
  13. Go to settings in the Conductor app and select help. From there create a remote support email request. That way Aurender can take a look at your problem and hopefully figure out why you and many others are having connection issues with V4.
  14. Sweet, will be looking forward to hearing your impressions. Especially how the class D amp performs.
  15. I haven't even registered my Aurender to use vTuner and it still always has the icon displayed and its does seem to do something with Vtuner every time I launch the Conductor app.
