  1. On this particular amp no such switch exists and the manual is very vague on stating whether or not it is required. It only states what kind of plug and voltage requirements need to be met to use it. Though, the way it is worded tends me to believe that it is in fact optional.
  2. Hi I am new to this forum and hoping someone could help me understand something. I am going to use my computer's soundcard as my pre-amp and was looking at buying the Emotiva UPA-200 as my power amplifier. My question is this: My soundcard obviously doesn't have a 12v trigger output on it and I am wondering if the trigger input on the amp is required. If no cable is plugged into the amp will it be in an "always on" state? Or Will I not be able to get it out of standby mode by using a soundcard as the pre? Thanks in advance for any responses.
