  1. I've got the opportunity to buy a DacMagic Plus from a friend for around $300 (USD). I've been looking at DAC's in that price range for awhile now and always liked the look of the Bifrost. However I would have to get the USB input module for the Bifrost which would drive up the price. But I do like the balanced outputs on the DM+. If I got the DM+ it would also be my first upsampling DAC, which I'm slightly concerned about as I'm unsure if I'll like the sound. Has anyone used either or both of these? Looking for some comparison between the two before I make my decision.
  2. Yes I'm sure the burn will help! They recommend around 100 hours. My chain is MacBook Pro > Chordette Peach DAC > Chordette Prime Preamp > T200b's
  3. Just got the Swans in, initial impressions extremely positive. They've displayed a amazing highs, mids and bass, couldn't be happier!
  4. Thanks for all the insight! Might just get the T200b's from audio insider and use their 30 day audition time to see if I like them. Found some b stock of the A5x's as well, but its more like 400 used per speaker
  5. Interesting, did you audition the T200b's? Is the quality of the Adams worth the extra cost over the T200b's?
  6. What made you go for the Adam's over the T200b's? Wondering as I'm currently considering similar active setups.
  7. I've always been a headphone guy due to roommates and complaining neighbors, but I'm now in a situation where I can finally play around with speaker setups. I don't have the biggest space and would like to stick to active speakers for now. So far I've looked at the following: Emotiva airmotiv4/5 Swan H4 Swan T200b Adam A3x Swan M200MKIII (Out of stock everywhere) AudioEngine A5+ I've pretty much ruled out the A5+ as I've read that the airmotiv4 is a much better buy. So really at this point it's come down to the A3x, airmotiv4/5, H4 and T200b. The T200b is the priciest of all these options, with the A3x a close second. I haven't found any concrete reviews of either the H4 or the T200b, but have read only good things about both of them. The H4 has the least amount of info that I could find, anyone with any experience with them? Does anyone have experience with any of these speakers? Is the jump up in price to the A3x or T200b worth the extra cost over the H4 or airmotiv4/5? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
