  1. If you can find the IP / FDQD of the service I can trace it out from my DC here and see if I can find out where it is living. I suspect it is not amazon or azure. They just expand and bill you. I suspect it is something like Akamia
  2. This lines up with a CDN issue each connection gets a new route to the service. If the CDN / Load balancing is picking links that are saturated expect these sort of random issues to occur.
  3. This is responding more and more like a CDN issue. The paths to the CDN are overloaded coming from a given peering point. The other option is a load balancing issue between servers / peering locations and the default option is being chosen more times than not and overloading a link. The fact is they have a massive network hiccup that they have needed to fix for a very long time. I have issues with streaming the service from a Mac desktop on Comcast. I however have very little if any issue coming from level 3 or XO communications. So check who your using for your provider. They are probably hitting an overloaded peer spot. I turned this into Tidal months ago and got a glib we are working on it meh response. They wonder why the service is failing and people are leaving it is due to inability to keep the service at minimum working properly.
  4. I am having horrible issues with streaming Tidal. I have reached out to them and asked them to investigate. I got the questionnaire asking about my setup. I know none of my networks are at fault. I am pushing packets at speeds that would move whole albums in the span it would take to stream. My jitter is very low. I am suspecting they have a link over subscription from them to some of the cable peers like charter and Comcast. They seem to know this as well. I am in hopes they can scratch up the cash to buy some larger pipes to push out that sweet sweet lossless audio to us all
  5. John Fox Fan. I was wondering how you have gotten on with your high face 2 rega combo. I have a Rega dac and mac mini currently setup over optical toss link and i agree there is something lacking this setup. I run mcintosh power and B&W 803D speakers. I was wondering what your take on the high face 2 has been now that you have it for some time with the rega dac. It is rare you find people who have the rega dac and this combo so i am ken to know how it got on with your rig. cheers
