  1. Have you ever tried Audirvana +? It can handle all file types, I think. No remote, yet, though.
  2. Yeah, I set them all to 48kHz based on some advice over at JRiver to try to get the bloody thing to play at all, but now that it is working, I will try to put it back the way you have it. I just finished comparing JRiver to Amarra and could hear a slight difference. Not better or worse, just different. I like the potential for remote control with JRiver that is not available with iTunes/Amarra, so that alone (if it's not TOO complicated to set up) will be worth using JR. Also, if JRiver can figure out what sample rates to use automatically without my intervention, that will be a deal breaker, since iTunes/Amarra I don't think can play 24/192 stuff. Thanks, again. Now to figure out JRemote. S
  3. Tom, Channel Offset back to 0, then set all output to 48kHz. It WORKS! This is WAY too complicated. Thank for all you help. Without it, I probably would have given up and just used Amarra, which worked first time and sounds pretty good. Now, I'll compare both and decide which to buy. So far, JRiver is not blowing me away. It better be WAY better.
  4. Not emailing from the Mac Mini. The size of the photos is too large to attach.
  5. Peachtree is selected. Take a look: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/rockitdoc/Hi%20Fi/Core%20Audio%20Settings_zpseqt7gtob.jpg Do the settings look right? S
  6. Here are some screen shots of what I'm getting from JRiver: 1. Changing sampling rate to 44.1 kHz (or any other; it doesn't matter) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/rockitdoc/Hi%20Fi/44.1kHz%20Selected_zpsvsoodbtc.jpg 2. Attempting to Load this sampling rate http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/rockitdoc/Hi%20Fi/44.1%20kHz%20Loaded_zps7rmb8hi9.jpg 3. JRiver Telling me 'Output Format Not Loaded' http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/rockitdoc/Hi%20Fi/Output%20Format%20Not%20Loaded_zpsqaxlzgcl.jpg This is either a bug or there is a button SOMEWHERE I haven't switched on. But WHERE? Frustrated. S
  7. Did that. Doesn't matter. I get the same message from JRiver when the Mac is chosen as the output device. I don't think it's on the Mac side.
  8. Nope. Not in the Applications folder.
  9. Excellent. Thank you. My world is opening up by the minute.
  10. Yeah, I know, but the Finder can't find it anywhere on the system and the indication in the window indicates Soundflower is not an input or output device.
  11. Macs don't have right clickers, I don't think.
  12. In the Audio/MIDI section the Peachtree shows up as the sound output device. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/rockitdoc/Hi%20Fi/Capture_zpsqy8qch5b.jpg JRiver is no where to be found. Maybe this is the problem?
  13. Soundflower is not installed on my Mac.
  14. I found the Audio/MIDI window in Utilities. Peachtree is selected (as shown in the photo), http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/rockitdoc/Hi%20Fi/Capture_zpsmu48xgo2.jpg but there is no option to select JRiver. Is this the problem? If so, how do I get JRiver to appear as a selection in the Audio/MIDI window?
  15. I'm not sure where the audio devices/MIDI settings are on the Mac, but in System Preferences I found this window and selected the Peachtree as the output device. I did not see any option for selecting JRiver. Also, the message below indicates the Peachtree 'has no output controls'. is this a clue? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/rockitdoc/Hi%20Fi/Capture_zpsxastw46m.jpg S
