Hi, Have been reading hifi forums for some time and am glad to see people who appreciate DSD music here, so here goes my 1st post. I'm been listening to PCM music playback from my Mac for a few years and am really excited by the new DSD development in the last 2 years: rips of SACDs, sale of DSD 64/128 downloads, software players which can load and play DSD, fast growing list DSD DACs and most of all smooth, life like and vinyl like sound quality. So after reading the good reviews by valenroy, Teresa, and on positive-feedback.com and audiostream.com, decide to to try out the Teac UD 501. Wow. Love the sound - realistic and more emotional. The price is right, I don't need a pre-amp, so have a black unit on order.
