  1. Hello, I've been lurking around here for awhile, but I don't post too much. I haven't found clear answers on how to set up my vinyl recording set up, so I thought I would ask here. I started looking into the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 for my re-do of my vinyl collection. It may be obvious, but I haven't found a clear answer to how you connect the turntable to the Focusrite. http://www.markertek.com/Cables/Audio-C ... 0SRJ.xhtml 1. Option 1 that I found are these 1/4in Male to RCA female cables that look heavy duty and would seem to work, but there is only one RCA input. Can I use these cables? Do each RCA (red/white) from the turntable go into one of these cables and into each input via the 1/4 connector into the Focusrite? 2. option 2 are these adapters. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessor ... tads-plaid^57300755227-sku^339508000081000@ADL4MF-adType^PLA-device^c-adid^30426433827 or.. 3. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessor ... ter?pfm=sp Which option is best to connect the turntable to the Focusrite? Next issue I have is connecting to my imac. USB is easiest and works well, but is it a better option to send the audio out via the optical out into the audio input on the imac if is bought say the, E-mu 0404 instead? Finally, I have a question on how to monitor while ripping my vinyl. Is is better to feed the signal through my computer out to my DAC and amp, or can I use the line outs on the Focusrite with a 1/4 in. male to RCA male into my preamp? If connect to my preamp, do I connect into any analog input (aux) or into the phono input of my preamp? I will be using vinyl studio to record the vinyl. I have an Emotiva USP-1 for my phono preamp and an Emotiva UPA-200 for my amp. Also have an Emotiva XDA-1 DAC which I use with my imac to listen to all my computer audio. Finally, using a Technics SL1200mk5 for my turntable. Thanks for any advice you may have!
