I couldn't be happier with my new signal cables. They pushed transparent music wave plus out of my system.

Wow, The W4S uDAC completely changed my sound added soundstage and really brought the bass out of the new Dynaudio Specials 25s. Also the much cheaper signal speakercables sounded better than Transparent Wave Plus that was 5x at least more expensive. One question, I have a Nelson Pass designed Adcom Preamp with my Aragon 8008bb, but I need a preamp with a light on the volume dial or a digital readout so I can see how loud I am playing music, and need to see the volume level because I don't like to go past 1PM for the speakers. Thoughts?

I would like to avoid buying and returning if possible and was wondering what opinions there were for people that considered both.

W4S uDac vs DAC IT for playing wirelessly through ATV3, with Nelson Pass Adcom Preamp, Aragon 8008BB AMP and B&W 804 speakers. Most songs are in 256 AAC. Which would you pick W4S uDac vs DAC IT? Thank you so much for your opinion in advance....

I have boiled it down to two, any input on what u would pick? wyred4sound uDac OR Dac IT?

Thanks for your response. I am on the fence on which one to buy...DAC IT, W4S udac, Jolida glass, or w4s Dac 1. It is so hard buying something that you can't hear and just going on reviews.

because I have 3000 songs and none of them are lossless and I probably only have a CD for 60% of them. It would take days and weeks. Even after doing that i wouldn't have lossless for 40% and those are all the newer songs i bought through iTunes that i listen the most too. I was going to buy a Mac mini and do what u mentioned but unless iTunes let me upgrade all my songs I would still be SOL. buying songs from iTunes is just so convenient and I have been doing it for years. I am waiting for the day iTunes updates iTunes Match to let u replace all songs w lossless instead of the 256 iTunes Match is now.

It is ATV 3. How much difference would Dac it make at 256? Noticeable?

Would a DAC have much of an impact on AAc 256 via AirPlay to ATV? i have been contemplating a DAC but I am now 2nd guessing myself. I don't need the extreme fidelity many of u lossless guys demand. Yes, I would have to switch on the remote for the Wyred 4 sound DAC, but I would be able to have both the TV and the ATV going through the DAC. The DAC2 at Wyred can act as a preamp too, so I could dump my preamp, but it is 1500 which is triple the peachtree DAC IT. I hate spending big money on digital stuff though because it seems to go obsolete so quickly that's why I spent my big money on my Aragon 8008 BB amp and my BW speakers, I figure power is power and won't be obsololeted and speakers won't be obsoleted either.

My best bet would be to get a Wyred 4 Sound DAC 2 with the ESS 9018 chip b/c it has 2 Toslink inputs, so I could put the TV and the ATV into the DAC via Toslink. The key is having a DAC with TWO toslink inputs I think.

With your setup how do you know your AVR is playing the sound from the DAC and not from the TV? Could you be losing the sound from the DAC completely and not know it?
