My Auzentech X-Fi Forte 7.1 does not save its settings, every time i reboot all settings are back to default. Also tryed differed drivers no success Auzentech X-Fi Forte 7.1 Latest drivers original On board sound disabled Win 8 pro

Agreed, the receiver used the digital out instead of the onboard jacks.

Yes I had the same thought, but I did not find any place in the control panel to adjust, still surround test and youtube work fine. Spend quite some time on the manual and google.

I am pretty desperate, I have following problem: l hooked up an amplifier directly to the sound cards output. Using a browser listening to music, all is fine on all chanels. Using the surround set up, all channels test fine. It is set to 5.1 surround. Now, using I Tunes, media player or any other program to play mp3´s, I only get stereo mode an no more surround signal. Any idea what to adjust? Many thanks!
