140 days ago, following Audiophil Setup Guide instructions, I installed Windows Server Evaluation Edition R2 (downloaded from http://care.dlservice.microsoft.com/dl/download/6/2/A/62A76ABB-9990-4EFC-A4FE-C7D698DAEB96/9600.17050.WINBLUE_REFRESH.140317-1640_X64FRE_SERVER_EVAL_EN-US-IR3_SSS_X64FREE_EN-US_DV9.ISO), let activate itself online (getting "Windows License valid for 180 days" on right bottom desktop corner), installed AO 1.30, JPLAY 6 and other software. All worked fine. Today I booted my WS12R2 (getting "Windows License valid for 40 days"), opened Command Prompt (Admin), typed slmgr.vbs /rearm [enter], rebooted, waited Windows Server 2012 R2 activated itself online, rebooted: I got again the "Windows Licence valid for180 days"! To verify I opened again Command Prompt (Admin), typed slmgr.vbs /dlv, typed [enter] and I read: […..omissis….] License Status: Licensed Timebased activation expiration: 259076 minute(s) (180 day(s)) Remaining Windows rearm count: 4 Remaining SKU rearm count: 5 Trusted time: 13/08/2015 18:25:56 So I could use WS12R2 for other 180 days and then rearm it for other 4 times... Is it all right or I missed something? I thank in advance if somebody can reply.

Did you try using the rearm command to extend the trial period? Extend the Windows Server 2012 evaluation period - Windows Server 2012 R2

I too use Mac Air 2014 with WS2012R2 and its sound quality is not so bad. What do you use for serious listening?
