  1. They're suffering a massive shortage, like everyone else. I'm also in line and it won't move until the end of June. It's nothing compared to the wait time for getting an Ayre QB9 upgraded....
  2. The Singxer F1 or SU1 are great and affordable USB to S/PDIf (and AES) bridges with good clocks and galvanic isolation. I used to have the Aries LE (+ LPS) and Gumby. USB is lacking. The Rednet 3 + Gumby is awesome.
  3. Is there a way to revert to an old OS? I updated my sonicorbiter yesterday and the sound is thinner / brighter than before. The sonicorbiter was bought in late April and never updated until now. Can't tell which revision came with it (the update has the save version number).
  4. Is the Ravenna setup for multicast streaming? Can you set it to unicast, instead? I had the same issue with my Rednet 3 flooding my Asus RT-AC56U router's wifi. The problem was that I had a multicast flow enabled on the transmit side (from the Rednet 3 to the whole network) and my router was passing multi-cast packets over to Wifi devices. In the router's manual, there's an option to disable Wifi multi-casting. Alas, the option is not present in the newer firmwares. Disabling that transmit multi-cast from the Rednet device solved the issue. It wasn't used anyway. I set it up as a test and forgot about it.
  5. I did update the firmware, to no avail. Another annoying issue is that the Wifi breaks whenever I send audio to the Rednet. I bought a beefier router (Asus RT-AC56U, with dual core and 256MB RAM) but the issue remains. Do you guys have a separated (managed) switch? Or do you use a consumer grade Router with the Rednet?
  6. Do you have the latest software update for your D16? I have the D3 and have another issue: the device doesn't show up in the Rednet controller. It's not really a big deal as I can work around with the Dante controller.
  7. Mojo doesn't hold a candle to the Bricasti... It doesn't hold a candle to the 20 years old Theta Basic IIIa, either. The Mojo is a good and convenient portable DAC/amp, but it's not a giant killer. It still sounds processed and "digital" next to the aforementioned DACs. If you want a giant killer for your home, get a Schiit Bimby.
  8. 1) Yet, the newer version sounds leaner and brighter than the old series, which is not to everyone's liking. I loved the QuteHD but really didn't care for the Hugo. Would you say the 2Qute is closer to the Hugo or the old Qute in terms of tonal balance? The first review (posted few months ago) said the Hugo and 2Qute were not exactly the same on that aspect, which is promising.
  9. What about Chord's upcoming 2Qute and Hugo TT which offer "galvanically isolated" USB 2.0 port? Did they come up with their own design, or is it marketing fluff?
  10. Olimex USB-ISO is 1.1 compliant and should go up to 24/96.
  11. MQA Explained: Meridian Explains New MQA Lossless Audio Format, Authenticated by Artists Themselves - Article from CE Pro
  12. "I believe, MQA is NOT lossless. Meridian claims MQA is lossless, but I believe it only claims audibly lossless, not lossless in the normal use of the term." Maybe the "normal use of the term" does not apply to the MQA format... Redbook is not lossless either. After all, you're cutting everything above 22.05kHz (or lower) and what about this ugly quantization process? Huh...
