  1. Thanks for the response, I keep system sounds disabled anyway so don't think this is it.
  2. I acquired the Mytek a week ago and I’m enjoying listening very much. It has superseded a Chord QuteHD, which in turn replaced a Metrum DAC. I have a W7 PC with Foobar as my preferred player. I have been listening using the ASIO setting which allows me to play DSD files and PCM but if I’m using the PC for something else i.e. reading a magazine via Zinio, playback is affected in this case the track is paused when I turn a page. This doesn’t happen if I switch to WASAPI. Are there any settings within Foobar or ASIO that I need to tweak that would rid me of this slightly annoying issue?
  3. I'm replying to my own question just in case anyone else is looking for the answer. There is a good guide on audiostream here: How To Play a DSD File: using Foobar2000 | AudioStream. If you also look at my comment below the guide you will see the slight tweak required for the QuteHD. It works well.
  4. Mains Cables R Us £225 linear power supply for chord quteHD dac Cheers gz00
  5. mrenvy Hi what are your impressions, I went for the Chord QuteHD in the end as there was so little info on the Impulso but I would still be interested to know how it stacks up. Cheers Gz00
  6. KE_H I prefer WASAPI using both MC18 and Foobar Cheers Gz00
  7. Gentlemen I'm using Foobar with Windows 7. Does anyone know of a way to get Foobar to play DSD with the Qute? Any insight would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks gz00
  8. Does anyone have any information about this DSD DAC, or better still does anyone have one? There is nothing on the NSD website and I have been unable to find any reviews, although I did get some info from the UK dealer who has the DAC in stock @ £990.
  9. Brilliant thanks a lot guys this works a treat.
  10. I have some 24bit/192kHz audio files that won't play because my DAC (Metrum Octave) only does up to 24/176 or 24/96. Is there any way I can get F2k to downsample these so I can listen to them?
