  1. When the Device Manager looks for new hardware,it does not find it. I tried installing Legacy drivers and that did not work. I contacted both Firewire card companies and both said that their cards are Windows 10 compliant. I have read on the internet about a lot of trouble with firewire connections and Windows 10. I thought more people would respond on this forum about either it working or not. Your the first so far.
  2. I have been running my Zuma with Windows 8.1 pro without a problem. I have been using a pci-e Firewire 1394 card with the TI chipset. It sounded great. When a upgraded to Windows 10, the card was having sound issues. I reinstalled the card and now the computer does not see the card. It is not listed under Device Manager. What could have happened? The riser I use with the card is good because I can install a Paul Pang usb card without any issues. Usb does not sound as good as FW with my Mytek DAC. Has anyone else had issues with Windows 10 and pci-e FW cards? Thanks.
  3. I have a CAPS Zuma using a TI PCI-E Firewire card into the Mytek DAC. It worked fine with Windows 8.1. I recently installed Windows 10 with latest builds. I had a lot of pops and clicks in playback and so I tried rebooting and the Zuma no longer sees the Mytek. Is anyone else having an issue using Windows 10 with a Firewire 1394 card? Thanks.
  4. ThomasKott, My backplate and fuses were in the box under the hard foam beneath the unit. They were not in with the cables or with the unit.
  5. Paid Buyer ID#20. Thanks Ben for all your work.
  6. Ben, Do we pay via PayPal as a sale for goods where Teradak pays a fee to PayPal ( in my case $23.04 ) with buyer protection or do we send as friend or family. Thanks Mike
  7. I have a C.A.P.S. v.3 Zuma server built as per specs (Intel DH77EB MOB, Intel i7 processor, samsung 840 Pro SSD,pico PSU-160-XT and will add either a PPA usb card or SOtM usb 3 PCIe card. The case is the HDPLEX H5.S Fanless Computer Case.). Will the ATX linear PSU from Teradak be a good choice and hich model would work best for me? Thanks for any advice that you can give to me.
  8. I wonder if Baetis Audio or Paul Pang or some other company could build a galvanically isolated BNC/SPDIF connector for DIY users to connect to the SPDIF header?
  9. Baetis Audio uses this galvanically-isolated BNC /SPDIF connector taken off of the MOB SPDIF header in their computer music servers and recommend it be used for going into the SPDIF input of a DAC such as the Berkeley DAC. I do not know how they do it. I have a C.A.P.S. Zuma and was wondering if it could be done off of the SPDIF header of the MOB?
  10. Galvanically-isolated, dedicated BNC/SPDIF connector wired from the spdif header off of the MOB.
  11. I am using a C.A.P.S. zuma with windows 8 via firewire to the Mytek stereo 192 dad sac with JRiver. I use a Synology 213+. I am having a problem when I switch from PCM recording to a DSD recording. I get a pulsating noise in my speakers and the lights on the Mytek keep flashing and the numbers flash -29 1764 for about 4 seconds. When I pause on DSD the same thing happens until I hit play again. Does any one else have the same problem or a work around to fix the problem? Thanks.
  12. Thanks iago for your help. The SATA filter is connected to the back of the drive and the SATA cable from the main board is connected to the other end of the filter. The problem that I see is that the filter is not compatible with SATA III and would have to be hooked up to the SATA II connection of the mother board. That would defeat the purpose with using the faster Samsung 840 pro sata III drive. Would it be better just to leave out the filter and hook the SSD to the SATA III connection of the mother board?
  13. I am new to this forum and have been strictly analog in my two channel audio system. This is my first adventure into computer audio. I would like to build a C.A.P.S. V3 zuma to use with a Mytek stereo 192 DSD Dac and an Synology DS412+ NAS. I connect to my router via a apple timecapsule There is a wealth of scattered information on CA. I have many questions about how to put this all together. Would the Samsung 840 pro sata III drive get hooked up to the esata III of the mother board? In reading through everything ,the SATA power noise filter would not be seen or work through the SATA III connection. Is there a work around for this? I plan to use JRivers with the zuma. I guess I would use the SOtM tx-USBexp for my connection with the Mytek. How do I connect to the Synology NAS? The NAS I presume would be connected to my timecapsule which is hooked to the internet. I plan on using Jremote to control the zuma for playback but I am not sure how this happens since the zuma does not have have wifi. Does it come via how the zuma connects to the NAS? Is it better to instal the Windows 8 via a usb stick drive? I am sure that I will need further assistance as I progress with this project. Any help that the members here could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
