  1. It's Volkswagen. btw.... I beg to differ. Music that is sample heavy sounds far better with different mastering. I own several sample heavy records that exhibit this concretely (Daft Punk, Dead Prez, Mos Def, the Roots, Faith No More, M.I.A., OutKast). I love records with sampling because the samples stick out considerably when reproduced well. Poser perhaps, politics I don't agree with either. But I still love this record. Samples pay direct homage to the original recording/artist because it's clearly not part of the new recording that surrounds it. How many kids genuinely thought "Behind Blue Eyes" was a Limp Bizkit song.... If they'd sampled the original instead of remaking it the world would be a better place.
  2. That would make the most sense. I'm after a different mastering than CD. (I really would feel the same net effect playing the CD in my PS3 if the mastering is similar).
  3. I find just don't go all crazy on the compression settings. But they are identical if you decompress them beforehand as it eliminates unpacking errors while playing the flac file.
  4. Still haven't taken the 18 dollar plunge. If I buy it I will report back.
  5. Did anyone get Devil without a Cause? I'm interested in whether it's different mastering. And Hi, I'm new :-)
