  1. in the albums i've listened to, there is a brief gap in the vocals. my sample size is quite small -- only a few instances.
  2. what are the specs of the pc that hqplayer is running on?
  3. New Luxman amp/pre added in the fall, Holo Audio Red added last month.
  4. look like roon did that because you've got volume leveling enabled.
  5. there are cables and adapters for usb-c to usb-a -- seems like that's all you need. cable: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-2-Pack-Premium-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B07DD5YHMH/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2COTMIBIX1XP9&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.xpPQYmruVr47XUJUWgEDIOtuZGg-05a9clikk9FgGx6Nekt2ApOei6MlbTLsklAd6CBplaguqykkq8vJj4ccedzwGoJp2aYYXs_bWBnupjq11q5JTDq5ozOQMXtexJnpL1zBVbLak-RAyH41bo0di1vsyPzOP791fvyvUz9u4-X0lj7LPQMoKpvP3wSZ4nowahkcK3KqpwyO_LSHZeUqjO-5UdzDmsJSa7zVHug8n3U.8LDeqSasWgZME0WJficSRAFv45kONm2LItzFo95X9rM&dib_tag=se&keywords=usb+to+usb+c&qid=1709149266&sprefix=usb%2Caps%2C232&sr=8-4 adapter: https://www.amazon.com/Elebase-Upgraded-Connector-Chargers-Interface/dp/B07LF72431/ref=sr_1_6?crid=2COTMIBIX1XP9&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.xpPQYmruVr47XUJUWgEDIOtuZGg-05a9clikk9FgGx6Nekt2ApOei6MlbTLsklAd6CBplaguqykkq8vJj4ccedzwGoJp2aYYXs_bWBnupjq11q5JTDq5ozOQMXtexJnpL1zBVbLak-RAyH41bo0di1vsyPzOP791fvyvUz9u4-X0lj7LPQMoKpvP3wSZ4nowahkcK3KqpwyO_LSHZeUqjO-5UdzDmsJSa7zVHug8n3U.8LDeqSasWgZME0WJficSRAFv45kONm2LItzFo95X9rM&dib_tag=se&keywords=usb%2Bto%2Busb%2Bc&qid=1709149266&sprefix=usb%2Caps%2C232&sr=8-6&th=1
  6. Wow -- I'm surprised you could do that well!
  7. the discussion was related to a holo audio red which is just a raspberry pie 4b.
  8. i know that is can, but a raspberry pi doesn't have the horsepower to run full hqplayer processing effectively. as an naa is a different matter.
  9. Do you mean you're running NAA OS, not full HQPlayer? The Red really doesn't have the horsepower to run HQPlayer (it's just a RPi 4B).
  10. the red can function as an naa, so remove your current naa and use the red as a streamer, not a ddc. then stream hqplayer to the red via your network. you should get better performance and sound that way.

    HQ Player

Did you buy your Red from Kitsune? Their web site says the Red is limited to PCM 768 and DSD 512 until a firmware update comes out . . .
  12. does that song play? thinking that the song is no longer available . . .
  13. Yes, I should have been more clear. The idea is to use one as a Roon endpoint.
  14. Thanks so much for the quick response. So would you give the same answer for other related Atom-based CPUS? How about a Fitlet2 (with Celeron processor): https://www.amazon.com/fitlet-FITLET2-CE3930-fitlet2-E3930-Barebone/dp/B078V6MT9D/ref=sr_1_3?crid=KKF1M37PL7NF&keywords=fitlet2&qid=1701369973&sprefix=fitlet%2Caps%2C204&sr=8-3&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18ed3cb5-28d5-4975-8bc7-93deae8f9840&th=1 ?
  15. Will Audiolinux run on something like this: https://up-shop.org/default/up-gateway-atom-x5-z8350-w-4g-memory-32g-emmc-board-w-vesa-plate-b10.html ? I'm assuming it will.
