  3. After minimal effort, HDTracks gave me a credit for the download.
  4. In this case, to me, the issue is not so much how the file "sounds". As I said, once I equalized volume ABX testing quickly told me that I couldn't tell any difference between the two tracks. In fact, I'm perfectly happy to accept the fact that a high resolution download may actually sound worse than a standard CD version. "Better" is subjective. The issue is, do people who buy Gaucho for $18 from HDTracks expecting a true 96Khz music file get what they pay for?
  5. LOL. I can think of a few other words to use as well.
  6. I’m not really qualified to interpret these graphs, but I thought some might be interested in a direct comparison of a high resolution download of Steely Dan’s Babylon Sisters vs. a standard red book version. Using Foobar ABX I could not reliably tell the difference between the two tracks. Curious to see what kind of thoughts you guys might have. 44.1k From "A Decade of Steely Dan" DR= 14 96kHz Downloaded from HDTracks as part of Gaucho DR=10
