  1. Just noticed that although the latest extractor seems to have overcome the click problem on track transitions for stereo extractions when converted to FLAC, multichannel extractions still click. Using PS3 here and dBPoweramp to convert.
  2. I should clarify. BubbeUPnP cannot help the Pioneer N-50 to play gaplessly at all. It's gapless functionality that I mentioned earlier is not with the Pioneer player. It's with proper gapless players. E.g. it only very recently became capable of controlling JRiver as renderer gaplessly when reading from the JRiver library (MC 18 build 158 fixed it). I know of nothing other than the Pioneer ControlApp and the IR remote to achieve gapless with the N-50 from the chair.
  3. Whoever is in charge of this forum could change the edit settings. At present the software allows too short an interval in which to correct any typos. As a result contributors might appear as ignorant plebs unaware of the correct usage of say "to", two" and "too" when in fact they're simply old, it's a cold morning and it's not just their pinky that's sore.
  4. Well I have never needed to create such on-the-fly playlists, but I would imagine gaps between such tracks would not be of any concern (unless to or more are contiguous from a gapless album). So just install BubbleUPnP on the Android tablet and set it up any way you like, then use the "enqueue" feature. The latest build (a few days old) is superb. E.g. a long press on the cover art (which it has of course) brings up a few options including "Show Metadata". If Pioneer implemented gapless playback properly (which they don't) the crummy ControlApp could be thrown on the tip where it belongs. Either that or bring the ControlApp up to speed. Edit: The BubbleUPnP "Open Home" server is not yet gapless capable (it is on their to do list apparently) so for the time being the tablet must remain powered on and not sleeping to issue the track advance commands. I set mine on its charging base on the coffee table.
  5. But you can navigate the playlists of the library (say AssetUPnP, JRiver, Foobar, Twonky etc.) using the ControlApp screen. Just create them in the library first. What the next ControlApp update needs is a progress bar (and/or time lapsed/remaining display), cover art and playlists with the Now Playing track highlighted or better - in a different colour. Basically they need to take a good look at BubbleUPnP! Unfortunately it seems that Pioneer is using a non-standard gapless implementation which means that you can't push gaplessly to it. The only way I can find to get the new gapless to work using an Android tablet is with this still crummy ControlApp so the Pioneer pulls from the library. Does anyone know of software that can push to the Pioneer gaplessly?
