LUMIN - Audiophile Network Music Player
RichardA1 replied to psme's topic in Networking, Networked Audio, and Streaming
Perhaps me meant MinimStreamer https://minimstreamer.com/ -
I listed an item and the format looks nice and clean. I was wondering it would be okay to link to feedback on another site. I would like people to have an idea of who they are buying from and feel comfortable till I establish feedback here. Or at least list where they can view feedback if they want to go look.

Also waiting for a Lumin to be RoonReady as announced at CES in Jan. I love my Lumin. -
Would it be possible to run HQ player on my qnap tvs-471? I just got roon up and running on my qnap and was hoping to run roon thru hqplayer on the same machine and then to a microRendu>usb>lampizator dac.

Processor speed / Ram question
RichardA1 replied to RichardA1's topic in Disk Storage / Music Library Storage
My current qnap uses a intel atom 2.13 and has 1GB ram. I have a friend with a large library using roon on a older computer and roon seems to drag along loading. My current pc runs a large library quickly in comparison. I use a lumin streamer with minimserver but I want to add alot more music to that library and I think everything would run smoother with a faster processor qnap with more ram. Hey tboooe .... Love my SF Evolutions , I use 1 Rel S5 set at 30-40hz amazing low end seamless with the SF Evos. -
Processor speed / Ram question

I have been very happy with my qnap. Which model did you get? -
Does processor speed and ram matter when accessing a large (4-5 tb) music library stored on the nas . I was thinking about having linux roon on my qnap when/if that becomes an option. Any input would be helpful.

Updates- Intona High Speed USB Isolator
RichardA1 replied to Blake's topic in DAC - Digital to Analog Conversion
Hi Blake, I stumbled on your post following the Intona and W4S listed in r_w's signature. Im moving from a all in one streamer&dac to a seperate streamer with usb connection to dac. This will be the first time I've had a usb connection between components in my audio system, and it seems like the Intona,W4S and Curious Cables are the way to go. Thank you for all the information. -
Aurender N100H vs. Aries + NAS
RichardA1 replied to udis's topic in Networking, Networked Audio, and Streaming
Is there any disadvantage getting the n100h for use with a nas instead of the n100 ? -

My power supply button has always been blue. It looks just like the one in photos on the lumin website. -

Nice looking power supply Kenneth. Can you make those in 110~120v also ? -
I had no problem running the oppo with plugplayer . My files on the Qnap can be seen and played in formats supported by the bdp-105. With that said I still have all those fun gear decisions in front of me.

I thought the chord qute had usb-spdif and dsd or were you suggesting a seperate unit for those functions in the chain somewhere? I like the size of the mini but thought the c.a.p.s might be more upgradable in the future. Ive built a slew of pc's so I comfortable with either format.

Now I'm smiling because that is the thread that got my head spinning. Ease vs flexibility. I think what I was looking for was someone to say buy a macmini with a chord qutehd it will work well with your setup or something decisive like that. That does not seem to be the case and I understand the why of it.
