I was pretty amazed just how quick SSD are, secondly I found the bass is deeper and the treble a little more sparkly

In regard to myself I am not using SSD for music storage , that is being catered by my Nas drive. My intent is to use the SSD as my boot and music renderer.

Yes My apologies, I should have clarified. There are certain things we can't get from the US now the free trade agreements were torn up . Music from Hd Tracks, stuff from Amazon like things made in Asia. But not to worry won't be long wait before thing's are back to normal .

I could get it , by the time I receive it postage, exchange rates etc it costs about the same at Centercom. Anyway I'm having difficulty getting fired up and I'm pissed off, lol.

Well I bought a 250gb Samsung ssd well I put it in the bay for my Toshiba laptop put the installation disc in but the drive won't show up. It shows as a bootable drive but is not showing thru file explorer or otherwise. Going to have to get a sub to sata connection. Unless anyone has any ideas I'm using Windows 10.

Here a 500 gb is around $220 I'll see if Amazon will send it here say for a Samsung. You must rememberthat Orange turd in the white house stopped free trade agreements.l will get back to you.

Hi mate Centercom has SSD pretty cheap up to 500 gb of course not as cheap as the US. 250 gb Samsung 850 $134.00

Achievable in a desktop, Not so much in a laptop.

Next question what size ? Remembering I already have 1 TB already installed . Was thinking 250 gb

Having read that article I'm now not convinced that ssd would be a good choice for rendering a music file at all. Still the speed and less heat appears to make it a winner.
-
Thanks that article opened my eye's, I was thinking Intel SSD but that appeared to be the least reliable out of those tested. So Samsung was the over achiever.

Thanks Yes I agree 3 years old on the dot and bang , do you think they are quieter?
