  1. Unfortunately I don't have any CD players and I only have a computer. My friends have noticed a big difference when i changed speakers but I haven't really heard the DAC yet cause its still in its box. I heard the DAC is only good with the PSU but that might take a little bit more saving to get. I was thinking maybe i should improve my cables (S8 to A2) and go from there or just flat out try and get better material. I do realise that R&B Hip Hop CDs are pretty rubbish recordings for most part.
  2. I covered lossless from CDs, I just buy the CDs from the normal stores. I just thought the sound would be say different to when i listen to them as MP3s and as lossless
  3. Unfortunately its USB only, hence i was looking at USB cables like the Kimber. I would have gone optical except I already bought this before finding this website. Or else I would have maybe even gone just the devilsound instead.
  4. Hey everyone I'm really new to this whole sound audiophile business but I've been reading alot about what I need and how to convert my collection of CDs (mainly R&B/Hip hop) to Lossless format and to store. My current setup is: Audioengine A2 Audioengine S8 Kingrex UD01 - DAC Macbook (alu version) I've converted most of my collection into Lossless format and I haven't really heard that much of a difference. I've been thinking my cables must be crap, I'm using the standard usb cables and RCA cables supplied by Audioengine. I was looking into the Kimber USB cable but I can't find it here in Australia either. Are there particular cables recommended for my quality of speakers? And further more should I invest PSU for the DAC? Thanks in advance for all your help!!
