probably a noob question but I have an Emotiva XPA DAC fed by a headless Mac Mini where I have my music and Audirvana. Plugged into the DAC is my Apple TV where I stream casual listening stuff like Pandora. I wanted to stream higher quality so signed up for Tidal Hi Fi accessed through my Ipad but when I stream it through the apple TV gen 3 is says its only 48k, does the apple TV just stream at 48k? if so I now have to figure out how to control Tidal from the headless mac mini through my Ipad...any help is always appreciated.

So just upgraded my old 1.5 Audirvana to the latest 2.5 and paid my $39 upgrade fee...I'm playing this through a headless mac mini, displayed on my TV screen and use Apple remote...so a couple of issues....the new 2.5 doesn't seem to pick up my 192k tracks just plays them at 44k and also do I get the Audirvana remote app with this upgrade too or do I have to pay another $9.99 to get this on my ipad? thanks Neil

Hi guys, I have Audirvana v 1.5 maybe 1.57 and recently upgraded to Sierra on my Mac mini. I'm in ITunes integrated mode and now every time I select a track my Audirvana program just says that it's initializing but never loads the track , any ideas? I've tried reloading the license ( just in case it was a simple fix ) thanks Neil

thanks, I know it seems like a gymnasium! I may try a rug but its modern and minimalistic..is integer mode 2 on the Audirvana preferences?

Hi guys, well just built a new house to really hear the music as my old place was too small! My system is as follows, Mac mini 2014, audirvana , emotiva dac, emotiva XP2, blue jeans cable and Mini Statement speakers. The room is 25ft x 42 ft with 18ft ceilings , it's open plan so that includes the dining and kitchen. Listening area is 25 x25, problem is the house is modern with minimal furnishings and lots of glass, wood floor etc and subsequently the room is very live making the speakers sound very harsh...can I tweek Audirvana to compensate in any way? I'm sure the wife doesn't want me sticking a ton of old egg boxes on the walls of the new house ?

Thanks. Bob, my Mac has the following 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz) with 3MB L3 cache 4 GB (two 2GB) of 1600MHz DDR3 memory, it's only used for music playback, nothing else.my DAC is an Emotiva XDA 2. Maybe I should be ok?

Hi guys, I'm always reluctant to upgrade until it all seems to be running good...so I'm using a 2012 Mac with ML and I'd heard issues with Mavericks upgrade so didn't install this...so can anyone help? Is Mavericks stable enough and glitch free? Also should I go ahead and upgrade to iTunes 11.2.1? thanks as always for any advice! Neil

I would be interested in what you find Bluesman, Im in the same boat. My system currently consists on a new Macmini and an emotiva XDA2 fed by a Pangea Silver ( it was relatively cheap on amazon about $25? so I thought worth a punt) the Emo feeds an XPA 2 via balanced cables into Statement speakers. I see the USB cable as the weakest link but unsure as to any benefits of spending a ton of $. especially as so many people say you wont notice any difference as its all digital! Let me know how you get on!

Hi Bob, what are using to control your headless mini?

Ok so for the last hour I have been sliding izotope ( sounds like it should be illegal) parameters and wondered if anyone can give me a head start as to what I should be listening to! For example what should I expect to hear when I change steepness, cut off, pre ringing etc. ie if I change steepness one way it makes the music more muffled and the other way sounds too bright...etc. just trying to get my head around what to expect. And what to listen for..... current settings 10 1164000 1.04 200 0.65 equipment new Mac mini, A+ newest version ,Emotiva XDA 2, emotiva XPA 2 , statement speakers.

To up sample or to not up sample? I have an Emotiva XDA2 and see most people seem to select power of 2 upsampling in A+ preferences. My DAC is capable of 192k should I select max upsampling?
